My wife and I used to visit this restaurant while on holiday. Now we have moved to the area we have the pleasure of using it more often. Friendly and attentive service. Excellent food and best of all, they are dog friendly

Friendly atmosphere. Prompt service by a cheerful member of staff, Jenoe. Large tasty portions of home cooked food. Very clean in the restaurant and the toilets.

After waiting for ten minutes in a virtually empty restaurant and being ignored by 4 different members of staff who constantly passed by we voted with our feet and left. A simple "we will be with you shortly" is all they had to do but none of them had either the time or inclination to extend this simple courtesy to... More

It was disappointing to see your review - you were right that we were quiet after new years eve and the disappointing weather on Sunday. I am not sure that you waited ten minutes as I was in the kitchen and by the time my husband noticed that you had not been served you had decided to go without speaking... More

This tea room/bakers in South Street, Wareham is quaint and quirky. They do a lovely english breakfast in the seating area at the back of the shop. All local produce and very nicely presented.

Cosy little cafe/restaurant with friendly service and very tasty food. Not the cheapest (over £5 for a sausage sandwich) but no complaints about quality. Warming fire at the back as well.

Thank you for your recent review. I am glad that you found us friendly and that the food was tasty. The chipolata sausages that we use come from our local butcher and we think that they taste good. The fire is a welcome sight and certainly throws out a good heat especially in the cold weather we've had in the... More

Called into this cafe for lunch and as on our previous visit the staff were welcoming. You enter through the shop and the dining area is at the back. It was quite busy but we found a seat. There was a lovely open fire which made the room warm and cosy. The staff handed us menus as we walked in... More

Thank you for your comments after your visit to our tearooms. The open fire seems to be a popular attraction with our customers and it is always welcoming this time of year. I am pleased you enjoyed your sandwiches - we do cook the Dorset gammon ourselves and hope that this gives it a better flavour. It's also good to... More

Made three visits during November, breakfast twice and a late lunch. Weather was cold, food hot and tasty, log fire a joy, service friendly. What more do you need ?

Traditional high street tea room/restaurant with plenty of seating and roaring fire in back room. Would be good to have similar fire in front room as a little cold. Lovely full English breakfast cooked to order, very friendly staff. Quite an extensive menu plus specials board. Good selection of bread and cakes can be purchased from shop. Nice place to... More

Thank you for being our 150th review! It was kind of you to take the time to put it on our page and we are glad that you enjoyed your visit. The open fire is always a welcome sight this time of year - unfortunately the front room is fairly small and I'm not sure how an open fire would... More

We popped into Nellie Crumb on a wet and windy Saturday afternoon to be greeted by a warm open fire. The lovely waitress took our order after us asking her what she would recommend with our coffees. I had a doorstep sized slab of Dorset apple cake with some clotted cream and my other half had a piece of carrot... More

Visited for breakfast with my son and left feeling like I had been robbed. I asked for a coke zero and it was served from a can.... £2.50! I mean really, approx 400% mark up? I realise you are subject to VAT when you sit in but it doesn't mean you can rob the customers. The bill came to £11... More

I was sorry to see your comments about a recent visit to our tearooms. Firstly the prices that we charge are all displayed in the window and customers and offered menus when they come in. I am not sure where you get the high mark up on the price of the drink - we had a few cans that were... More
