Visited this restaurant on a Friday night with friends. Good choice of menu, only small downside was that the menu was only printed on a board and each one of us had to leave the table to have a look to make our choices. The food was lovely and cooked fresh, staff very friendly

Thank you for your lovely review. The new menu is being printed ready for launch on the 1st March... so we were on the board this week.. sorry it was a nuisance and hope you come back to us.. More

Arrived late due to a ferry delay, and nearly missed the cutoff for food, but were kindly advised to go ahead and order since we were clearly very hungry! Enjoyed a fresh haddock and chips, as well as the hearty nachos. Interior was relaxed and the service from bar staff and wait staff was excellent. Great spot for dinner...

Went here for tea and to listen to the band. All of us had a lovely meal really tasty, music was good as was the atmosphere in the bar, lots of chat and people dancing. On arriving our booked table was near the door, we asked if we could change it but no other tables were available at that time,... More

Visited this restaurant / bar for a total of 3 nights over the weekend . Not a traditional bar ( very hard to find in Arran nowadays ) this is modern and the food area takes up most of the space . Karaoke on Friday and a covers band on Saturday helped liven things up , especially the Saturday night... More

Met the owner while on a hill walk in Glen Rosa so we decided to take a bus over from Brodick to Lamlash where the PHT as it is referred to, is located. Food well priced and lots of it. A rock group from Ayrshire was in-they were very good and played a wide range of rockin hits. Will go... More

The Pierhead Tavern offered us such a fantastic welcome over Christmas and New Year. The staff were friendly and attentive and their recommendation on drinks fantastic. I had a glass of prosecco with a shot of rhubarb and ginger gin - outstanding. We had dinner in there one evening which was superb. A lovely atmosphere, some great entertainment, ooh beautiful... We found the newly renovated PHT crowded and very noisy. The menu looked OK, but the liberal over use of cream made meals inedible. My pasta was returned , it was revolting but there was a half heated apology and no refund. My husband's Arran beer was easily £1.00 more than at island's hotels. Lamlash needs a good local pub,... I am very sorry that you did not have a good experience at the PHT however I would like to address a few of the points you make. Firstly, we are often crowded because we have become one of the most popular places to eat and drink as you will see from the excellent reviews we have. Secondly, it is... More

Driving around Arran and needed a spot of lunch - warm and welcoming with a reasonable range of options on the menu - the soup of the day was lovely and the haggis was also very good - certainly recommended
