Read a couple of bad reviews but they seemed to be about breakfast, we were going for lunch so i dismissed them. This review is really a tale of 2 meals. Mine was awful. My husbands... More

Good evening and thank you for your review. The chicken noodle soup was freshly made in house the morning of your visit and proves very popular with most customers. Unfortunately it's not to everyone's taste which is why I chose to offer you an alternative. The macaroni is indeed home made and one of the most popular dishes on the... More

Really friendly and happy staff, lovely surroundings, tasty food, and staff very welcoming. It is dog friendly which is great especially when going along the promenade with our dog and can pop in for lunch or coffee. Always had great food. This cafe / restaurant is an excellent find.

I was in this cosy restaurant for lunch, I had delicious burger with home made wedges. There is an outdoor terrace during summer and the view is to die for. The service was friendly and polite. Will go back again.

We found this restuarant and coffee shop by accident as we walked along the front at Largs with our little dog. We decided to ask if we could take the dog inside. We were greeted with a very enthusiastic 'yes'. We were shown to our table in this very clean looking restuarant. Our little dog settled himself under the table... More

Had lunch there today. Very busy, even at +9 degrees the outside area was full! Good bowl of soup with a proper Scottish roll on the side. The menu is wide and varied and the prices seemed good. I'd certainly be happy to go back for a full meal. It's licensed so you can have wine, cider, sherry, port or,... More

I used to visit the Green Shutters a couple of years ago for breakfast on a Sunday morning after a walk from the marina. Decided to have breakfast on Saturday as down in Largs having an appointment at the opticians. We order 2 breakfasts and when they arrived I was deeply disappointed at the presentation of the food. First the... More

Hi folks, first of all this place used to be excellent, however, now it's the complete opposite. The location is superb and all they have to do is up the ante in-terms of service and quality of food.....But it seems like they are living on their past reputation. Service very slow and the waitress looked terrified to do anything...far less... More
