This is a local place where every one knows each other. My husband and I ordered the Surfer Bacon Cheeseburgers. We were told that these do take longer. We were in the restaurant for an hour and a half. The burgers were great!! Service is super slow.

Stopped on our way through to Pigeon Forge for breakfast. When traveling we always look for ems or police cars in the parking lots at smaller restaurants. Always a sign of good food. Biscuits were huge and gravy was loaded with sausage. My boys had cheeseburgers and fries. Be sure to bring an appetite. Staff was super pleasant and on... More

Nothing fancy. Good food. Very popular with locals. Homey atmosphere. Big portions of food no matter which meal.

This is a VERY casual little small town restaurant, that serves a good breakfast, plus lunch and dinner. The food is pretty good, the decor is minimal, and the surroundings are kind of shabby.

Best burger I've had in a while. Surfer burger with bacon and cheese. So big I was afraid to lay it down. Just held on with one hand and gnawed away. Definitely a 3-4 napkin affair. Paired with fries you can't go wrong.

This restaurant has been in business for over 50 years. They serve country style vegetables. The meat and vegetables change daily. They always have steak and gravy, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, potato salad, cottage cheese and cornbread. Make great hamburgers. We eat breakfast there often. They serve breakfast all day. Great country style gravy.

Food was not very good. Ordered steak and gravy. The steak was a real mystery meat. Would not recommend order

Always great food!!the owners are nice folks and the restaurant has a nice, relaxed homey feel. Great place to eat that's hard to beat. Prices are fair as well.

This is a local hangout with pretty decent food. I particularly enjoy their Mexican cornbread with a big ole bowl of beans and a slice of onion.

If you like the diner styled restaurants of the 50's and 60's the Lamppost is the place for you. Quaint little local restaurant with exceptional prices which seems very popular with the locals. We went with friends who live in Madisonville and who recommended the Lamppost as a good place to meet and eat. Don't expect fancy or fusion, just... More
