Good family food. Well served and in a good environment. I tried the hagis and it was a good surprise. Unfortunately didn't prove the deserts because I was to full with the entry and main dish.

Went to the Bothy a couple of times during our stay, it is a busy pub and you have to take pot luck as you can't book a table, but it's well worth popping in, lovely food and quick service.

Stopped here along our travels. Hubby had smoked chicken breast, veges, and chips. I had special of ham, pinapple, chips, and peas. All good and plenty. Service was good.

I had lunch here on my tour threw the Highlands. Busy restaurant and quite dull food. End of a busy season I guess, staff looked pretty tired and annoyed.

The Bothy has the potential of being an amazing pub. It is charming and the location is perfect. The food however, was boring and tasteless. I had a cheese an onion baguette which was just grated cheese and a whole lot of onion. So incredibly...More

This place certainly looks pleasant, with a warming bar as you walk in. No doubt this would be a welcome treat in the winter months. On walking into the restaurant however this is where things started to go down hill. Firstly queuing behind another customer...More

First time visiting the establishment was awesome! It was a mild winter, but it was cold enough outside that walking into a cozy and welcoming place made it a great first impression. The food was good and the beer of course... no need to explain.

Great bar and nice place to socialise, but food is very average and unexciting. Worth a look but don't expect anything too fancy. Reasonable value though. For something more special special a bit more and go to The Lovat.
