Went to the upstairs café bar for coffee and cake. Pleasant surroundings and interesting art work on show. Would recommend.

We had an excellent lunch and afternoon drinks on a wet Friday in Stornoway. Our "wee" starter plates of chowder and pakora were fresh and very tasty. We returned later in the day to view the art exhibition and had tea and drinks with very friendly service from the female bar tender. The restaurant had large windows offering a view... More

This is a lovely art centre. There is a café/bar upstairs and a shop that sells cards, books and artwork. I came to see a film, and have booked to come to another film and theatre show. They run classes and other events too - but these seem to get booked up early. I have just moved to Lewis and... More

Spent a very pleasant couple of hours at the café/bar earlier today. Enjoyed very good coffee and cake then decided to stay for lunch which was equally as delicious. Our family happily munched away on the battered fish and chips, butternut squash filo parcel and kids chicken and fish goujons. Service was very friendly and welcoming, a nice relaxing environment.... More

Excellent centre of the arts for whole of WesternIsles. Cinema, art gallery, restaurant, bar, small shop. Friendly staff. A modern experience but dedicated to local craft and culture too. Many visiting acts in the theatre from all over the world. Well worth a visit, be it for a coffee or a cultured night out.

On behalf of a relative: 'Our Christmas lunch was absolutely faltless. The best Christmas dinner I've had in a restaurant. Apparently there is a new chef - who appears to be working wonders. Service also excellent.'

I've always loved An Lanntair because it offers a lot culture wise for a smalltown like Stornoway. They've got a great gift shop and a selection of books that centres on the local heritage and you can even get Christmas cards in Gaelic! They also have concerts and various other events.

Thank Joanna V
