Definitely recommend if you are staying on Iona or Fionnphort to make a reservation at the Ninth Wave. John and his wife Carla have created a wonderful destination. The restaurant is small - seats 16 and with a 4 - 5 course meal, I believe...More

Had a lovely meal at the Ninth Wave. The food was really delicious. It really did taste like it had been prepared and cooked by someone who truly was passionate about their food and the local produce. Meals were beautifully presented and served with charm....More

A 10 minute walk from the village, this is a different dining experience. The restaurant can only accommodate about 15 people, so you must book in advance. The menu is based on the best of Scottish seafood and produce, with little twists to make quite...More

Simply a fabulous experience. An excellent choice of food presented as 3, 4, or 5 course dinner. John is a witty host and offers his time to ensure the meal is fully enjoyed - advice on how to access meat in crab claws and lobster....More

Read the reviews which made this a must visit on our holiday. We've eaten all over the world & this rates up there with the best. Presentation is outstanding, provenance is second to none - they catch the fish & shellfish themselves, my mohito was...More

Had wonderful meal at Ninth Wave. Great use of fresh (lobster caught that afternoon) and local ingredients with a clean and interesting approach. Mix of unusual flavours and ingredients make lovely dishes like seared venison with wasabi, ginger and soy and lobster with mango. Served...More

I have been dining at The Ninth Wave since it first opened its doors in 2009 and what an extraordinary few years it has been – for the owners, the restaurant, the food industry and the Isle of Mull as a whole. I live on...More

Intimate seafood restaurant owned by Fisherman/Chef, Husband and wife team. The menu changes daily allowing us to serve the freshest ingredients, sourced from local fisherman's catches and crofter's bounty. Our Croft-grown produce and Organic Meats figure prominently on the menu. Lobster, crab and fish are often caught only hours before appearing on your dinner plate, by owner John, a Scottish fisherman who will also be your waiter for the evening. Hedonism on a Plate.Evenings only. Children over 12 welcome. Seasonal.Closed Nov-April 18th. Tuesday-Sunday. Booking Required.
