me and wife ordered fish and chips and fish cake and chips. This was the worst fish and chips we have EVER tasted. The fish was not fresh, the chips were frozen and it was still very greasy. had to bin both suppers This chip should be shut down.

My fish is freshly delivered daily and I do not sell frozen chips...wouldn't it have made sense if you were so unhappy to come and see me personally?, what a waste of your hard earned money, throwing my good food away!! More

Frozen chips, 100%, hard in the middle, just disgusting. Partners fish made him sick, was a strange taste, batter stuck to paper, had to throw away. Curry sauce out a packet, had onions threw it, horrible. This place is not a proper chippy and I would advise you to carry on along the road to ANYWHERE else!!!!

We had food from here twice while we stayed in the Ardgarten Cabins. The first was Battered mars bars, which were delicious, and chips with curry sauce. Was slightly concerned when we opened the package and the bottom of the carton was a little greasy but this did not reflect what was inside. The chips were lovely and not too... More

We weren't sure if this place would be open at the time we found it, 8pm midweek, but it was! Friendly service, reasonably priced, well cooked tasty food. Definitely recommend.

What a lovely chippy, they cook in vegetable oil incase anyone was trying to find out (I don't eat meat so am restricted with a lot of chip shops who use beef dripping) the chips were amazing the sort of 3x cooked chips that are really crispy and tasty, fish was lovely - the curry sauce we had to go... Ordered chicken and chips and fish and chips, big queue, 15 mins to place order, when food arrived, looked like frozen chips, chicken grey in colour, did not get all ordered as did order sausage in batter as well, all went in bin outside, would not recommend unless very hungry

Friendly staff, we had a good choice of items and didn't have to wait too long for our order. Fresh fish. I found it quite odd that they sell inside the chippy handmade soaps for the tourists.

Kept noticing a sign outside this "quaint" Fish and chip shop saying "Argyle soap" so we thought it must be some local delicacy. One night we decided to try Ben Arthurs Bothy but unfortunately missed service so ended up at the chippie which is just a short hop down the road. The Argyle soap turned out to be just that bars... The only thing you missed in my shop hanging in view, is my quaint new sign which reads. "Beware of Trolls".. I would have gladly spoke to you on the premises, shame you chose to judge me so harshly..... More
