We visited with friends on Friday evening as we had been numerous times before however it was poor, over priced, food just ok, serving staff pleasant but not up to usual standard we have been used to. I booked some weeks ago and specifically asked for a table in the window over the loch, when I checked in and mentioned... More

Firstly I've visited the Boat House with some regularity over the years, so I can easily compare past and present. The Boat House offering now is not nearly as good as it was even a year or 18 months ago. The prices have increased between last summer's menu and the winter menu, despite many of the items and portions being... More

If this place was 40% cheaper, I'd give it a great review - but for 125 GBP for a family of four (comfort foods like pasta and a beer for each adult) I'd expect better food and better service. Head into town instead.

I am a regular visitor, as I have a boat in the marina... plus lodges on-site... I eat here on Sat, Tue, Thu, Sat last week... Always fab food, fab service, great beers, relaxed atmosphere in lounge area. Excellent for chilling-out... plus TVs in lounge for footie/rugger...

A family orientated dining experience, less formal than other restaurants nearby. Staff interacted well with the children of other diners to keep them amused. The food is fresh and varied and good value.

We booked in here and weren't disappointed with what we were served. I had the whitebait which was delicious but was bettered by probably the best duck breast I've ever eaten. The staff were wonderful, as I had to ask for our drink order again when it hadn't arrived it was given to us immediately and gratis!

Fish burnt steak very thin, overdone pasta hard must have been prepared a while before. Service was good, very clean I would say the kitchen staff are letting the front of house down. the prices they are charging they need to up their game.

Menu choice was good, decor is lovely, clean, fresh and modern. All the staff work really hard to ensure you have a lovely experience. The food was delicious, we would return again.

I have been visiting the Boat House for 20 years in its various guises and it never disappoints. Get there early and enjoy a drink in the lounge bar before eating. It gives you plenty of time to peruse the wonderful menu! I opted for whitebait to start, followed by Gressingham duck. Both dishes were cooked superbly as always. My... More

Visited at around 4pm and was hoping to get some drinks and maybe a packet of crisps. However I was told they do not serve bar snacks and do had to settle just for drinks. It's a shame as the interior is large and had plenty of comfy seating and cool decor.
