Didn't think we would be able to enjoy the food and drink at this lovely place as we had our dog with us, however there were plenty of seats outside..... and staff were friendly. Enjoyed lunch even though it was freezing cold outside. Some of our company ventured inside and sampled the warmth of the log fire and a warming... More

Bar Lunch in Feb - great setting, big fire in amazing rocky fireplace. Pint of IPA and a couple of big sandwiches were lovely. Staff are friendly and helpful, bit pricey but you pay for the setting/area.

The Oak Tree Inn is a gorgeous and quaint Scottish restaurant. The food was great, admittedly a little pricey, but the setting was well worth it.

We dropped in to the Oak Tree Inn after reading about it in the Lonely Planet. So happy we did. We had lunch with our 2 kids, food was good, beautiful location and really great service from the waitress! Elizabeth, Daniel & Kids

Enjoyable food and good service. Would have been good if they had meal deals as it is quite expensive.

We were staying self catering in Balmaha so obviously with the unpack and packing it is better to eat out. Oak Tree and its staff were brilliant. First night from sitting down to getting our order on the table (this at 16:20) was just 20 minutes and was fantastic in quality and quantity. We were so impressed we returned on... More

We were in the area for New Year celebrations and went to the Oak Tree for some drinks, the place is stunning, full of character and atmosphere, it also happens to sit in the most stunning location. Can't wait to return.

stopped here for lunch after a blustery walk up Conic hill which is a good viewpoint of the loch. We had cullen skink for starters and it was a bit less creamy than I usually find but good all the same, we also had the Stornaway black pudding and poached egg which was lovely, another starter and the Caesar salad... We love this inn. The food is always good as is the service, and it is a great place to stay. We lunched here today, the restaurant was so busy we had to wait for a table, but despite the kitchen being at full stretch our food was lovely and service came with a smile. Portions are generous with plenty... More
