Had breakfast and found it to be very well cooked and the owner and his wife are extremely pleasant and like to talk to their customers.

Soup and a sandwich always work at Kidstons. Other main course items, such as the hamburger, are not fantastic. The home-made gateaux are always very tasty. The views of the Clyde and entrance to The Gareloch are really good and in good weather you can sit outside. It is a very sociable environment.

I popped in here for a quick lunch and I wished I hadn't bothered. I ordered their tuna melt - a simple straightforward sandwich. When the sandwich arrived, it was lukewarm on the outside and stone cold in the middle. A rip-off because the cheese element was just put on the outside cut of the sandwich so it looked like... Great food and Superb views over the River Clyde, the waitress was very friendly and informed us of some of the sights and places to look out for on the rest of our visit. On the Riverbank at the rear is a very good play area for the kids.

We went with my young boy because he loves going to the park and thought to try the cafe because we had never been. The young boy and his co waiter a blonde lady were very welcoming and made sure we were valued straight away! Then once sat down I ordered a beautiful latte with amazing art designs. My boy... More

Over priced, cold coffee, staff not that friendly. Didn't feel our custom was welcome because we only wanted coffee.

Stopped off today at Kidstons for a bite of lunch at 1.30pm today. When we walked in was a sign informing of table service, so we chose a table by the window, in the restaurant which only had two other tables taken. There were no menus on the table, so we chatted for a bit while we waited for service.... More

We ordered the Lentil soup and a sandwich whilst the kids had a Mac n cheese and a panini. Young chap that served us was very attentive and could not complain about... More

We just stopped to admire the view and when we saw the cafe we said we would check it out. Such a nice place. I got beautiful homemade soup and some biscuit cake after. Staff were also very nice.

Called in with friends in the afternoon to have a quick coffee and went to sit out on the decking area, which we have done many times before. As we started to give our order, the Waitress told us we couldn't sit out on the decking unless we ordered food. We were amazed as, first, there was no sign to... More
