I'd booked a hotel room at a rate including evening meal, otherwise we wouldn't have considered eating here. The haddock was actually cooked to perfection, and a good size too, but served with cold undercooked chips on cold plates. We looked at different meals being presented to other diners, and these appeared equally unappealing. How do you get the fish... More

We ordered our food and it was on the table less than five minutes. Precooked and lukewarm fish and chips was the order of the day here. Can't comment on the rest of the food on the menu . If you are serving the "the best fish and chips" at restaurant prices freshly cooked is paramount. Service was fine .... More

Visited for the second time within a month at the holiday weekend goneby. First time we had a meal it was with an itison voucher, but it was so good we knew we'd be back. Must admit felt that it wasn't quite as well presented the second visit as the previous visit but still a really good fish supper..... and... More

Stopped off for a tea and coffee and wife wanted something sweet. Asked barman if they had shortbread, answer was no, can I buy a cake, again no, how about a dessert, no again. I was told that all they had was a vending machine selling sweets. Highland hospitality zero, will not be back.

Came again for our annual visit while we are using our timeshare at Cameron House. Have always raved about the fish and chips - hence the regular trips. This time a desperate disappointment. Instead of the usual crispy, crunchy batter it was flat and uninteresting. Clearly the fish had been cooked some before and had been sitting there for a... More

recently was here for lunch and very very disappointed and concerned if this is what we are offering tourists as a taste of Scotland Over priced poor quality food in the bar. £9 for 3 small slices of soggy battered haggis and limp chips vastly overpriced and poor value for money , £10+ for breaded fish that was burnt black... Well worth this deal, great battered fish and chips, you can even have breaded fish if you prefer and there is even tea or coffee thrown in for good measure.

My family and I stopped by here and whilst decor is nice and homely, when I asked if they could guarantee the food was vegetarian - soup - it was not and I had to stop a number of times o my way home to dash to the toilets. I was disappointed and exceptionally ill for 24 hours.
