Been here a few times over the years and still great value, but we were disappointed in our food just recently, the pate starter was definitely out a packet from your local supermarket and pate is so easy to make and so much better. The crispy fish was amazing as usual but their steak pie was a surprise as this... More

The last time I was here was at least two years ago. I had a great time. So on the 16th I decided to go here with my girlfriend and her parents. All I can say was just brilliant! The food was great. I had the Cajun Burger. My girlfriend has steak pie and I even had to try a... More

This is a really nice place for all the family to eat. The staff are all lovely & always check that everything is fine. It's a really cosy place with a lovely burning fire when it's cold. I would recommend friends & family to eat here.

We made the wrong turn out of Castle Campbell (a left) which was good as we ended up in Muckhart and decided to have lunch. There is plenty parking in the rear. The lunch was nice, however they seemed to have run out of a few items. The bar person was not particularly friendly. We enjoyed our food but would... More

The pub had 3 people in at 4 pm none were eating so at least we had the undivided attention of the kitchen!! We both ordered lentil soup to start which was amazing! Amazing as it seemed to contain a bit of everything with very few lentils and yet still remained tasteless. Mains were sirloin garni cooked medium and lamb... More

We always tend to go here when we want great quality pub food and nice surroundings very pleasant staff. There is one thing for sure you will never leave hungry, we felt we needed a wheel barrow to get us to the car we were that full. My wife had all on not to succumb to having a nap in... More

This is the 'where will we go on the way home for a bite to eat' pub. Good real ales, extensive menu with generous portions and loads of tables, we chose the one near one of the fires. Staff are friendly, helpful and omnipresent when you need something. Curry night on Thursday so we took advantage of the huge starter... More

It would be really difficult to fault the food here; good variety of choice on the menu; generous portions; very reasonable prices; homemade chips (a rarity these days). Everything we had, freshly made and very tasty. We will be back!
