Didn't try the food, but a great selection of beers, great live music, good staff and service. Went here twice once in the afternoon, and once late evening. Both times were live bands performing who were very good

The Blues City Cafe is usually my last stop of the night after enjoying some of the clubs along Beale Street. Only recently did we stop in for dinner one night, instead of the "stick to your ribs" kind of food one craves late at night. The atmosphere is well lit (bright) and looks like an old time diner, stuck... More

We both had the 'Best Meal on Beale' and it lived to to its name. You get ribs, catfish , fries, coleslaw, beans and bread. Absolutely lovely food and brilliant atmosphere. The band playing whist we ate (Brandon Cunning Trio?) were fab as well. Would definitely go back to!

Food was great, music was loud, but it is a bar/restaurant. Friendly and efficient wait staff. Food came quickly. Very very busy.

We have eaten at Blues City Café, many years ago. We took family and we were disappointed. The food was just very average. It was a typical tourist restaurant. It seems that they are so popular that the food does not need to be of quality to have people come into the restaurant. We had fried shrimp and they were... More

Rachal delivered great service. She was awesome. Food came out quickly. Portions were good. Ordered catfish with red potatoes. They had a good flavor. Sweet tea was tasty. Southern food through and through.

We were impressed by the friendly atmosphere, the music and the food. The ribs were delicious. We enjoyed our evening there so much we went back the second night.

This unpretentious juke joint, filled with locals, great food and memorable atmosphere, is the real deal. Blues drifting in from the adjacent club, excellent service, a vibe that says this is authentic Memphis. Don't miss it!

Absolutely awesome! My new favorite place to eat in Memphis! Loved it! Will definitely go back! Loved the gumbo, skillet shrimp, ribs and brownie dessert. The place was crowded by still had excellent service. There was a bar with a band but it was sort of secluded so still a great place for my entire family. We all absolutely loved... More
