This cafe doesn't look like much from the outside, but is charming inside and the food was excellent all freshly made. I tried the Shrimp & Crawfish Etouffee and my companion had the gator chips. We shared an order of fried green tomatoes which were...More

The food was O.K. Service was mediocre. I kind of expected to be blown away by the gumbo since there was a sign about some sort of gumbo awards they've gotten, but I was disappointed. The pasta dishes were overflowing with soupy sauce. The best...More

My family and I were in Memphis visiting family and I wanted to take them to eat on historic Beale street. The items listed on the menu seemed appealing and the hostess greeted us on the sidewalk so we had high hopes.....on to be sorely...More

The gumbo was delicious! The ribs had great flavor but not as tender as I would have liked. Barbecue was great and our server was fantastic!

This restaurant is in need of a refurbishment. Lighting was poor but food and service adequate. Would not return.

We never went inside. We did, however, sit out in the courtyard multiple nights. We could just walk right in, grab a seat at a picnic table and listen to good music for free. There is a bar at the entrance where we bought drinks....More

Great food but waited almost an hour to order and be served! Ordered the Cajun seafood feast for 4 and the portions is pretty generous. If you don't mind the wait, it's worth the trip.

Best gumbo I've tasted. If you can get through the Beale street crowd, please grab a bowl of this gumbo, served with 2 pieces of crusty herb cheese bread. Can't wait to go back & try the ettofee.
