I know all the reviews tell us how good this p;lace is. I had never been but a friend and I decided on the spur of the moment to go out because it was such a lovely sunny clear day. She recommended this place as...More

Took a friend from Yorkshire, where they claim to know a little about fish and chips, for lunch at the New Celtic. Service was impeccable and friendly and the food excellent as ever. His clean plate was testament to the high standards always delivered by...More

Ordered poached eggs on brown toast and beans on toast, when it came, the eggs were on white toast, the lady took it back, by the time it came back out, the eggs were like bullets, and the toast all covered in margarine spread! When...More

Love the cawl here - can’t be beaten. Portions are huge. Service always quick and friendly. Definitely the best take away in town too and do try the Cellar downstairs if you want a slightly more special meal . Fabulous harbour views.

Stopped in for lunch whilst driving through town. Found this place whilst walking along the harbour. Good friendly service and nice food with flavour. We had the fish cakes and the pan of king prawns. Nice relaxing place and we would definitely go back again.

We wanted chips before we left, but this place was closed, so we hung around until they opened. Well worth the wait though. One of the owners sons served us and he was full of banter as we had seen him the night before in...More

This is a pretty standard chippy, nothing special. I wouldn't recommend eating in the restaurant section as you could find other places in town that are better and cheaper.

Called in when passing through one evening with work for a take away meal. I have called here on many occasions and you always get good service and good value, but until now have never written a review. Great takeaway and sit down facilities.

We can grill you a cod, that is without the batter. Chips are cooked in separate fryers to the fish. If you make the staff aware that you have a gluten intolerance then they will try and assist. Thank you

We had to walk up steps to get in, and a few more steps into the seating area that we used - although there were other places to sit which were on the ground floor level. Things were fairly tightly packed, and I don't... More
