On a coastal trip (27/10/21) day out and revisited Aberaeron . A mate and myself decided to have a early lunch at this Fish & Chip shop because you can sit in. Around 12.15 sat down and ordered Steak & Kidney pie and chips with gravy , side order of mushy peas each. Two huge plates of food turned up each enough to feed four people. Food was great and polished the lot off. The idea was to eat early and have a pub meal on the way back home to mid wales on the Welsh / English boarder. We drove all the way home and didn't stop because neither of us was hungry. Thanks to the lovely staff for properly feeding two lads who can eat well and saved us paying for a evening meal that night. We will come back when we visit the town again. 10 out of 10

They are now open to sit down to eat and the restaurant is very clean and well maintained. The fish and chips were well cooked and not at all greasy. Fresh oil makes a huge difference to quality fried food!. The staff are very friendly and happy in their work. The toilets were spotless. The portions are generous considering it is a seaside restaurant as you don't normally get huge portions at the coast. Very fairly priced also. Will definitely visit again of we are visiting or passing through very picturesque Aberaeron.

Traditional pysgod a sglodion (fish and chips) takeaway and cafe. Served quickly. We had cod, faggots, southern fried chicken and battered saysage, generous portion, all very tasty. Menus yn Gymraeg and in English. Easy read pictoral menu also available, great for those with speech difficulties or learning disability. Ramped access and wheelchair accessible in cafe, not sure if adapted toilet available. Friendly staff.

We visited this chippie today Thursday 16/07/20, it’s the worse fish and chips we have ever tasted. The chips must have been cooked earlier this week or the cooking oil had not been changed since the lockdown. The top half of the fish was tasteless, the bottom half was black. I took them back and the lady was rude, telling me that there was nothing wrong with the fish as it had ‘just been cooked.’ I asked her if she would eat chips like I had, the only reply I had that I would have a refund for the chips but nothing for the fish. As holidaymakers are starting to visit Aberaeron after easing of the lockdown, don’t waste your money going here go to the one near the Harbour.

Having our first break away in four years we travelled the 80 miles or so to the coastal resort of Aberaeron in mid Wales. Having dogs meant that we would be limited to where we could eat out. Having a ‘chippy’ takeout meal was fine. We visited the establishment for a takeaway on Saturday the 4th of September. We have to accept that prices have risen due to Covid etc but that is no excuse to drop quality. The jumbo battered sausage was tasty but the batter so hard that it was difficult to chew. The fishcake was ok. Most alarming was the fact that I asked for and paid for a large portion of chips but what I got barely filled the tray. On top of this in excess of one third of the chips were between 25 and 30mm in length and unedible because they were so hard. They ended up in the bin……what a waste!!!!! What a disappointment!!!!!! Having to wait outside the shop window was no great problem in these times but I got the feeling that serving the punters with any old food as quickly as possible overtook any thought of quality. I certainly won’t be waiting outside their window again. Very disappointed!

I ordered our food and she told me to eat outside,Which is fair enough,so I waited 10-15mins and my food didnt appear so i went in to ask where my food was and the girl said "oh I forgot sorry". I had only ordered two portions of chips hardly a complicated order!!! As I was telling her it's not good enough and the service is rubbish the owner, Gareth, just stood and watched not saying a word!! We will definitely go to the Celtic next time.As locals we keep these businesses going all year round

Very very disgusted with my experience here, I ordered tea and a bacon roll, through the rude service at the counter. I proceeded to sit outside on an uncleares table which had not been sprayed down as i watched the previous customer leave, an absolute disgrace considering the current COVID19 situation. My food was cold, and greasy, the mug of which my tea was served in was not even clean. Very poor service, and very rude workers, went in for a quick breakfast and came out feeling dirty and unsafe. Please do not visit here, i certainly won’t be visiting again.

Went for dinner here tonight, I am a local and have used this chippy for 30years. The curry sauce has changed from a beautiful fruity one to a light green powdery one. I went for the seafood platter for a change. At the cost of £8 I expected a delicious feast of seafood from this beautiful seaside town. However I was presented the picture added to the review! It was dry, over cooked and just looked completely unappetising, honestly not worth half the price paid . Very disappointed and genuinely can’t believe they can charge their customers this amount for this ‘platter’.

We ordered cod and chips for a take out on 7th February. They were short staffed and we had to wait five minutes - not a problem. But when we got back to our digs and unwrapped the chips had congealed into a clump. Unfortunately the fish , both pieces, had numerous bones which took the edge off any enjoyment. Not sure we would want to try again.

Good value, quick service and delicious fish and chips. We were impressed with price, portion size and quality. Having read reviews about other fish and chip shops and having tried a very popular takeaway in New Quay the Llond Plat in Aberaeron was definitely better - we will be returning!

We went in for lunch midweek with my niece and her husband, and we all ordered Cod and Chips, wow, it was a big meal, well worth the price. It was delicious, the batter was light and crispy and the chips were 'proper' chips. We had a cup of tea as well, and that was good too. I highly recommend this little cafe.

Called in with my daughter and 3 Grandchildren this evening. The restaurant was spotlessly clean as we're the toilets. The menu was varied When the food arrived reasonably quickly it was excellent 5 different meals all served at the same time. The staff were excellent. I can't fault this new find. We shall certainly be returning soon.

We came as it's under new management, and we thought we'd give it a whirl. Decor inside is lovely, new everything, and it looks really smart. The waitress that served us was nice and very helpful. The food was okay. I wouldn't say it's the best we've had. My friend ordered the burger. She said it was spicy, and the bun was a little sweet. I ordered the sausage and chips meal adults, and it didn't seem much bigger than the child's portion. The children all wasted the beans saying they had a funny taste to them. Unsure why as didn't try them. I enjoyed the curry sauce beautiful. My friend said she wouldn't order the burger again and was disappointed that she had paid £11 for it. The children's meals are £6.50 including a drink, but the waitress said they had no orange or blackcurrant juices, so it was a milkshake or pay extra for alternatives. It could have been better, but there's a massive improvement in the customer service front and good food overall

Came in on 31/10 at about 3pm. Ordered two regular chips, 2 ketchups and 2 cans of coke. Came to £10.20 which I thought was quite steep. I live in South London and this same order is £6.20 at my local. The restaurant was empty and stood for a while until served, a few teenage boys made eye contact but didn't seem interested in serving. A lady eventually came out and served. We walked down to the seafront to eat and as I unwrapped my chips there was a hair which immediately put me off. Chips tasted disgusting and perhaps like they had been reheated multiple times. Had one chip each and we both had to bin them all as they were inedible. Such a disappointment. If I hadn't walked down to the seafront (or had my child with me) I would have returned but I couldn't be bothered with it all since the service was lacking initially I didn't expect much response.

I visited last weekend and went to Llond Plat (we normally queue for the place in the harbour) and can’t recommend them enough. The chips were super crisp and batter on the fish was really crunchy and fresh. Staff were great and will definitely be returning next time we’re in the area
