It's cheap and cheerful! The breakfast was nice. But it's off putting when every single piece of cutlery comes out and is dirty. Even the spoon for our drinks!

Nice pub to go for a catch up with friends. Sometimes a bit cold. Service not always great behind the bar but it is cheap

Gold Cape.. I have been to many J D Wetherspoon pubs these last 20 years and Mold is my nearest. During recent years operational standards appear to be falling whilst other JDWs in my Area seem to be upping their game. 1.The Premises & F+F need a face lift ! 2. WHY - does it take over a week to... More

My wife and I visited Mold today and decided to visit The Gold Cape for a snack and coffee. The Gold Cape is easy to find, right in the middle of the town - very spacious with varied seating arrangements - it also has a rear 'Smoking Area' which is quiet and relaxing. I asked why the prices where much... More

called here again recently for breakfast, thankfully table and floor where cleaner than last visit, staff doing what they could, but I suspect understaffing is a problem here. Food is still fine for the price paid, it is wetherspoon after all. hoping for further improvement in cleanliness in the future

I rarely visit Mold, so I just asked someone in the shop I was in if there was a Wetherspoons in town and I was directed accordingly. I've visited a few Wetherspoons these last few years and normally been satisfied by my visits, however I was rather underwhelmed by this visit to the Golden Cape. There was one staff member... More

I know expectations shouldn't be high but I was still disappointed with this visit. It was Burns night and they had run out of tatties for the neeps and tatties. It wasn't even 6pm and they had run out of a key component of a one off annual dish. And then there was the usual terrible service. The manager is... More
