I love the fact that Dickens stayed here. I love its olde worlde ambience. I like the roaring fire with its wooden seats on either side. A real scorcher! The ancient ducking stool seat for "gobby women" is a sharp reminder of how far we've...More

Arrived Saturday night to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Our table had been booked the day before. Upon arrival we were told that no such booking was recorded and we were told after much fiddling about and staring at computer screens that they were full and...More

The menu was varied and quite well cooked and presented. Unfortunately, one out of four meals was not hot, while the others were, though the fish cakes were quite oily/greasy. The portions were substantial and the beer was excellent. We will go again, but not...More

Busy restaurant & tables a bit close together children pushing past chairs all night., starter quite nice . Main was non descript, very little halloumi on a halloumi burger. Quite pricey and this would not be our first choice of restaurant in the future.

Had a lovely 2 nights at this hotel, using it as a base to visit most of Anglesey. The room and en-suite were very comfortable and clean. Tea and coffee facilities, but no fridge with the milk supplied in a small flask. We didn't eat...More

Arrived to empty restaurant and put straight by the slamming service door just away from the toilets. Wobbly table, lax menu. This is a bums on seats restaurant. What a shame, every one was dressed up for a special occasion. However the restaurant totally missed...More
