The locals were welcoming and the premises inviting. We chose one of the dining areas where there was a party of 6 dining... More

We haven't visited The Pilot Boat in many years but the food did not disappoint! I had the Scampi and my other half had Steak. Both were gorgeous and very filling and the chips were just as good as I remember!

Very busy at lunchtime despite being the end of October. Friendly and efficient staff. The food is typical pub grub but was cooked and presented well. Portion size is generous!

The food is basic and not very impressive. I had the lasagne (microwaved) which had no flavour and thick sheets of rubbery pasta sheets. It was topped with a white sludge and looked like it had been finished under the grill. The frozen chips made the experience worse. The seating reminded me of a 70's cafe and the place seems... From the main road The Pilot Boat doesn't look up to much but don't be put off, it's really very good. Sunday lunch was proper stuff and served piping hot! Many other choices of food were available from the menu and the specials board, but roast beef and Yorkshire is really the only way to go on Sunday Lunch. Nice... More

Pub/restaurant allways good very friendly and efficient. Very good value as most outlets in this earier are very expensive and in my opinion not value for money. Play bus in yard for kids.
