The location is lovely. And if you can get a window table, the view is beautiful across the straights. Can't fault the food, but nothing stand out. Menu was overall extensive but very limited for vegetarians or dairy free. Would agree with the previous reviews...More

We were a party of 9 going for an evening meal, the location is stunning, service was ok, food wasn't brilliant. This was only 10 days ago and I don't remember my starter - so it must have been ok. I ordered rare steak for...More

Overall a good meal, except I sent my tripled cooked chips back twice because they were soggy and greasy, certainly not triple cooked as per the menu. No alternative offered. I had to settle for a discount. All other meals were good. Such a let...More

Went here after leaving another place some 10 minutes earlier. Glad we did as the food was very nice as was the service. You can park at the front of the pub but I did enjoy the steps from the top car park.

Visited here with family, to break up the journey home. Spectacular views, especially on a nice sunny day. The food was lovely, the sandwiches a decent size, however the crisps were a bit stale and didnt look/taste like the roof vegetable crips as advertised on...More

Met up with friends for lunch here. Hotel has a prime position. Landlord and staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was okay for lunch. We would definitely go back for another visit.

Fantastic location but the decor is dated and the whole place could do with an upgrade. Stopped for a bite to eat at 1.00 PM on a Wednesday lunchtime. We were obviously the first visitors of the day as the till had not been activated...More

Visited here at the start of May, as a base to explore the whole of the area. We booked it based on the photos on the internet and its location, next to the Menai straight and its views of Snowdonia, upon arrival we were not...More

Description
This hotel and restaurant sits in a spectacular location overlooking the Menai Straits on the Ismand of Anglesey. Recently under new management it offers a wide range of cuisine from bar meals to a full dining room service. A good range of beers and wines are available and a menu with some good choices often with locally sourced ingredients. Local mussels and fish are specialities and well worth a try. With friendly and helpful staff and meals at very reasonable prices this is a lovely spot to enjoy a relaxing spot, good food and drink with superb views over the Straits. In the summer months. outdoor dining at tables at the water's edge is particularly pleasant. It can get a little crowded in high season but bookings can be made for the restaurant to avoid disappointment. During Spring and Autumn it is rarely crowded but has a good all-year round reputation with local customers. The hotel is residential and has a good reputation but, never having stayed there myself, I cannot comment on the residential element of the hotel.
