We found this place to be really disappointing. The service was slow and inattentive. The waiter left our meals and disappeared without a trace, before checking that we had everything we ordered. The side order of cauliflower cheese arrived halfway through the main course, and was clearly just a hastily microwaved effort. The food quality overall was adequate, but didn't... More

Came in on a Saturday evening with friends after a walk. We'd booked and we're quickly seated. Food was very good; excellent pub food, freshly cooked. Service on the drinks was slow....we collected our own wine from the side on the bar, having seen it sitting there on a tray for ages. Food great, service not quite so good.

Went here for tea and was extremely disappointed with the whole experience. Mains was nice but had to wait 20min for the plates to be cleared but it wasn't busy and the waitress had plenty of time to talk to the table across from us about a night out. Ordered a pudding and it was horrible, ended up leaving it.... More

I'm a bit confused by the mixed reviews of this pub, I visited The Anglesey Arms with my family on a busy Friday afternoon and found everything absolutely top notch. All the food that arrived was hot, well presented and really tasty. The service was excellent despite us being quite a large and rowdy group including 4 small children and... More

W were on our way to Chateau Rhianfa and wanted just a light lunch as we had booked a table for dinner that evening. We had a selection of sandwiches and chips and a bottle of wine( between four) which was served very nicely and at a price which represented good value for money. If you are in the area... More

After a previous negative experience when we ordered the stake as a default of the restaurant having no burgers in stock we were disappointed with the food and service but decided to try again. This time was no better, we were ravenous and not only was service slow but they also seemed very miffed and unimpressed when we asked to... More

When we arrived it was very quiet. The restaurant part was empty but we decided to stay. The restaurant part is waitress service which was nice. We ordered the bread basket to start, as we had had this at a different restaurant the night before and it was delicious. Unfortunately the bread basket served at the Anglesey Arms was beyond... Stayed for the weekend with my wife for a family wedding. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome and were even assisted with our luggage and were made to feel welcome the entire stay. Our room was very nice with a lovely view. The heating seemed to be rather loud but I turned it off... More

Stopped for Sunday lunch here however opted for the seabass instead. Bit of a mistake as the seabass was average with not a lot of flavouring however the Sunday lunches being served to other diners looked fantastic with loads of veg and meat topped of with a large yorkshire pud. I know what i will be opting for next time... More
