We visited in February. The food was simply outstanding, from the appetisers through to the desserts, every dish really worked, even the water with the charcoal was a wow!! The food was backed up by friendly, realxed, but informative service, and the atmosphere with the 16 or so seats was just right. A night to remember - no wonder there... More

On Saturday 11th March a group of four enjoyed an amazing array of tastes in the understated but exceptional Sosban. The service was delightful with an excellent balance of care and attention and detailed information for each dish. All food was a feast for the eye presented in a wide range of lovely dish ware but as hoped for and... More

Stunningly informal Michelin starred restaurant. Manage to get a booking 4/12 in advance. Had heard good reports and was not disappointed, the food was stunning , 9-10 dishes of varying size but all intensely flavoured and not a single weak dish. Every course left you wanting more of it , too many to discuss each dish but some stand outs... More

We visited the restaurant again six months after the last visit (and now following the award of a Michelin star) and it was a fabulous experience. The food was excellent, from the Reindeer moss appetiser right through to the rhubarb with licorice. The selection of wines was excellent (we chose the paired wines). Bethan, at the front of house, looked... More

After all the hype we were expecting great things. Unfortunately we had eaten better in the Manchester French which hasn't got a Michelin star!! The service was poor, we were left with empty glasses and without drinks for very long time no periods. The food was presented well yet the moss starter was let down by the dry acrid taste... More

Beautiful food that was an exiting experience for the mouth in a warm welcoming atmosphere. Nine courses of the most delicious cuisine. Its not just food, its art.

Firstly, I must mention the most wonderful person Bethan (front of house). She is just brilliant, chatty and wonderfully engaging. She took the time to tell us about each course as well as time for a chat during the meal. This place is incredible, wonderfully informal and allows the food to steal the limelight. We had a relaxing three hours... More

What can I say? Amazing!! Anyone who has give this place a negative review needs their head testing! This place is fine dining at a humble level. Bethan and Steve are wonderful hosts and offer excellent cuisine and hospitality. Their offerings include the most local organic produce coupled with a good selection of wines, you must accept this place as... More

How do I start, a very humbling and warm welcoming from Bethan (front of house). Seated the 4 of us and waited on our every requirement then guided us through every dish (all 9 of them) as they were served with such a personal and intimate approach that blew us away...... to mention the unsung hero/s in this are the...
