I have visited the mango house, Magor many times before, which is a good representation. The staff are very friendly and sociable, nothing is too much for them to make your visit as pleasant as possible, Evan down to the tea or coffee not being hot enough(which it was lovely and hot, by the way). I have and will continue... More

When this place first opened (in the late 90s) Magor wasn't ready for a Indian restaurant and the place nearly shut down. I'm so glad they survived, Why? The food my friend's, the food. Over the years the Mango House has evolved from a quirky little restaurant into THE PLACE for a curry! Korma, Balti, And Buna, they do it... More

We only visit the area for competitive events at the Newport Velodrome two to three times a year but we are remembered and greeted like old friends every time. Andrew, the waiter, in particular has a fantastic memory and, if we didn't choose different meals each time to sample the excellent menu, he would know our order. Can't fault the... More

Tandoori Lamb chops starter were really good. Chicken Pathia was not what I expected. Pathia is normally hot and sour cooked with chilli and lemon. This was hot, sweet and sour and had a sort of sweet syrup flavour running through it, like a naff chinese. Possibly just because its different to what I've had elsewhere. Nice place though and... I was extremely thankful for the welcoming and warming attitude by the staff at the mango house. In addition to the polite staff, the food was ultimately outstanding! If anyone is looking for a traditional, simply yummy Indian cuisine id strongly advise them to take a trip down to the mango house. It was nothing but a superb experience.
