We went there for couple of nights. Very worm welcome. Room was absolutely superb. I was so impressed. Clean and spotless. Staff very friendly and always helpful. Restaurant very elegant and bar section cozy with fireplace. Food quite tasty. Overall extremely happy with my choice and highly recommend to others

Very nice food BUT has changed hands recently and it's not what you expect. Few months ago it was rustling up delicious gastro British pub food at reasonable prices. Now it's gone a bit swanky fine dining and just not sure if this is the right thing to do. Had the hake with mussel (spelt muscle on the menu -... More

Dear Owain W, Thank you for your review, i'm sorry that you didn't enjoy your mussels. (also apologies for the typo that day) i'm glad it made you all laugh though! We have taken them off the menu now as we can see that they are not the quality they need to be. We have also reviewed our menu and... More

The place is on a main road, a nice-looking building with a friendly and relatively efficient staff. I paid 85 pounds for a single room over the bar which could be seen through the floorboards, if that's what you want to do.The shower made a sound like a police chase through Macon Co, Georgia. The bed and the room overall were... Dear Ana F, Thank you for your review, we can see your point of view regarding single occupancy price, however, we charge our superior double rooms, in which majority are super-king sized beds, per room, and not per person. With regards to the floors, as we are an historic building, some of our oak floor boards are over 400 years... More

There is good easy parking at no great distance from the entrance, and the building has been smartly refurbished, is comfortable, with a restaurant area nicely organised to give space and privacy. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout, charming, efficient and attentive at table. A pre-lunch locally produced beer was delicious. We were there for Sunday lunch,... More

Dear DHW2015, Thank you for your review, we are glad you enjoyed your visit. On reflection of your comment about our Sunday lunch dishes, we have now decided that we will serve our Sunday lunches differently. With our original seasoned, crispy roast potatoes, local meat and a home-made Yorkshire pudding on the plate with gravy poured, unless stated otherwise, and... More

We haven't been to the Nags Head for sometime because of a bad experience there. But pleased to say that it is back to a good standard. The service from the young staff was knowledgeable and attentive and the relatively small menu offered a good choice. The food was well cooked and presented. We will return.

Don't be fooled by the title...the rest of the meal was great too, but the desserts were outstanding. Celebrating a birthday, we went out on a Monday night having heard that the Nags Head had changed hands......and were not disappointed. Good friendly service too! We will return.

We stayed at the Nags Head for 3 nights, October into November and were very pleased with the Inn. Our room was large with a comfortable bed and everything you would expect from a Welsh Tourist Board 5 star rated hotel. Rooms are limited which gives the excellent staff more opportunity to provide the personal touch. Breakfast was lovely, my... More

I hosted two people to dinner there last Thursday! When we arrived at 6pm we noted that not all tables were occupied BUT were told there would be atleast a 15 minute wait. Called in on a recent Saturday evening for some dinner with friends, not expecting much from previous visits but was pleasantly surprised from the moment we walked in, decorations classic, little and not too eccentric, nice touch. Had lunch at the Nags Head today, since the new owners have taken over they have made the place look so cosy and welcoming!
