We called in at lunchtime on a regular trip between West Wales and Bolton. Don't be put off by the lack of activity when viewed from the road. The car park is at the rear and they are open all day every day. We both...More

Had a quick lunch/meeting at The Nags Head. Great food and friendly staff. Shame it's so far away from home!! Would recommend if you were in the area.

Enjoyable 2 night stay. Friendly staff, comfortable room, good beer and excellent food. Only slight issue was the noise of creaking floorboards but this is to be expected in an old building, and the occasional sound of traffic from the main road. Recommended.

This was our 4th visit to this establishment. It was fairly quiet and there were lots of staff. I ordered the smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich and my friend had the chicken sandwich. We waited over an hour before our food came! My friend...More

As dog owners who stay within walking distance on a regular basis, this should be the perfect place to come. Its cosy, friendly and has a modern appearance. We have even previously stayed here and had a pleasant stay. However, for the second time within...More

Don't be caught out pulling off the road to this place based on the sign outside reading "Open for food 12pm - 9pm" as they aren't! Fancied trying this place for the first time at about 2:45pm today, only to be told they'd stopped cooking...More

Description
The Nags Head Inn is steeped in all the history you might expect of a rural treasure. Originally known as The Nags Head Hotel, it was formerly a coaching inn for passing trade along the main trunk road from north to south Wales and has always been a destination on the Montgomery Canal.
