I've been dining at this understated little gem for 10+ years and am consistently thrilled with every meal. Somewhat fail to understand why more people aren't raving about Teriyaki Boy but perhaps this is a good thing. Highly recommended eating: steamed crab dim sims, salmon carpaccio, sashimi, wafu salad, agedashi nasu and pork kakuni. Great value for the freshness and... More

This is one of Balmain/ Rozelle's local gems, always hard to get a seat if you don't book. The small kitchen turns out great standard Japanese dishes and a few special ones like the Wasabe Salad and Kingfish carpaccio. We just keep going back for more.

Had a marvelous dinner here with my partner. We shared a variety of dishes and found them all to be delicious. Service was friendly and the price reasonable for the quality of food. Definitely worth a vidit.

I recently visited Tekiyaki Boy for the first time, the lotus root crisps were nice but only half of them were crispy the other half were soggy. The deep fried crab dim sims were very good but appear to have been bought from somewhere as one of them still had the freezer separating paper still on the bottom. The real... More

A small, friendly restaurant, serving superb Japanese food. Typically four of us would visit, this enables us to order a variety of dishes. The sashimi, the lotus root crisps, wagu beef, beef tataki, the entire menu is simply the best I have ever tasted. A wide choice of food, consistently enjoyable, at a reasonable price. BYO. Tuesday to Saturday, 6pm... More

I love Teriyaki Boy and have been going there for years. It is a tiny place with simple tables... But the food is excellent! Take a group so you can share more dishes... The goma ae, beef tataki and pork kakuni are my favourites... But it's all good and very affordable!

Unpretentious reasonably priced and BYO. Freshly prepared dishes and pleasant staff. This small eatery could give most of the A List Japanese restaurants a run for their money at a quarter of the cost. Never been disappointed.

Quaint little place with yummy and fresh food. The wasabi caesar salad is a must try. The pork belly is also yummy. A long time favourite in the neighbourhood, the only thing is their menu doesn't really change but as long as you're not going every week it is ok!

This has been a favorite of ours for over 10 years. Exceptional, authentic Japanese food/service has never ever failed to please. Be sure to try the steamed mud crab dumplings, Japanese spinich and beef tataki to start. It only gets better from there. Be sure to book...
