It's a fair deal. You receive OK service and Ok food and you are right on the front with a view of Manly beach. I had the fish and chips and it was fine. This place is not a destination but does the job if you want someone to eat on a sunny day.

We celebrated my birthday with dinner at Whitewater - 12 of us. It was a stinking hot night after a 45oC but the fans in restaurant were on overdrive and kept the area fairly cool. Unfortunately the fan above us had recently stopped working but I can understand that after the ridiculous amount of hot weather we've been having. Service... More

Hard to have a bad experience while gazing across at Manly Beach and this restaurant backs that up with great food and friendly service. The menu has good variety without been too large or small covering pasta, meat and seafood dishes. Prices are reasonable ($40 to $50 per head) and the atmosphere is a cut above the average. There were... More

We have eaten here many times due to the location and kids menu. But after 18 months the menu hasn't changed T all and we just can't keep going back. Boring Caprese salad is 3 ingredients and just a little boring. Roasted cauliflower is good. Fish and chips is always great but you want to be ordering something a little... More

We ordered the seafood platter for 2, $145. Food Was pretty good. Fish excellent, Calamari great, chip, prawn scallops, oyster all good. Service from waitress (Julie from Canada) was excellent. Now the "but". Up to this night the worst lobster I'd had in the world was "Daniels" in Oyster Bay, Caribbean. The lobster at Whitewater was clearly cooked much earlier... More

Wonderful views from the dinning area towards the beach. Excellent service and great food. Good selection of wines and beers domestic and imported. Cocktails, according to wife and daughter are excellent. There is outside and lower level seating but I prefer inside for the view and the lack of noise from street.

Although I am a Manly local, I had never previously visited this restaurant. With friends, we booked a table near the window on a Saturday night. The food was lovely - 4 of us had a different dish for mains and dessert and the menu had a good selection. But the main reason I am writing this review is because... More

visited for lunch on a a hot summers Friday in Jan 2017 . Meal was fine and very good value. location is excellent Service was good. Having visited this restaurant each year for lunch we were only disappointed by the furnishings which are now looking very tired and worn out.

Stream of consciousness; Scallops over cooked, squid no better than any highway pub, snapper too salty to eat, chips that never turned up, staff nice but in their first job, chairs grubby, incredibly overpriced. Sadly this restaurant is feeding on tourists like a tick. In any normal town they'd have gone out of business years ago. Stop ripping people off... More

Staying in Manly

Neighbourhood Profile
Manly
A 40-minute ferry ride from Circular Quay will take you to the famous northern beach of Manly. The beaches here are perfect for learning to surf or spending the day sun-tanning. The walk from Spit Bridge to Manly is a great way to experience Sydney Harbour Bay and the Australian bush land. Along the foreshore, there are plenty of watering holes and wine bars with excellent cuisine. There are plenty of kid-friendly restaurants as well, especially along the family-oriented areas like Shelly Beach. An excellent way to experience Manly is to rent a bike and explore the dedicated bike paths and off road trails. The North Head National Park is another must-see. Located on the southern tip of Manly, North Head National Park offers great bushwalks and panoramic views of the city.
