Food was excellent. Ambience was fine. Table next to us was loud. My salmon was as good as I ever ate. Waitress (Haley) was fantastic!

Clearly the best gourmet restaurant within this beautiful, mountainous region and while also the most expensive food, worth every penny. This restaurant has an incredible history as a hidden Al Capone speakeasy. The menu is dominated by seafood and steak...and combinations thereof. While one might...More

This was our first visit, but definitely not the last. We both had 12 ounce ribeyes and they were close to being the best steak we've ever had! We tried the coconut fried shrimp as an appetizer with pineapple honey mustard sauce. It was really...More

We didn't know anything about this restaurant when friends invited us to dine there with them. Truthfully, it was a bit pricey compared to our typical dining experiences, and I didn't know if it would be worth the prices I was seeing listed on the...More

There didn't seem to be an official dress code. We were dressed fairly formal, others were business casual.

Hi there. I'm not certain. But it is a very reputable place. If you call, I'm sure that would clear it up.

Built inside a 1929 mansion that presumably once was financed by Al Capone, the restaurant serves a menu of traditional gourmet dishes including Brie en Croute, Blackened Salmon Oscar and Black Thai Duck. The mansion that houses the restaurant was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997 and still features the original escape hatches and underground tunnels that were used by Capone to transfer liquor during the Prohibition Era. In 2001, High Point received the "Best Gourmet Meal in Tennessee" award from "Tennessee" magazine.
