When it's cold and wet what better for lunch than a bowl of pho. We haven't tried Vietnamese in Box Hill so we looked for somewhere crowded. My wife picked the beef and i went for the roast chicken - small medium and large bowls are offered and we chose the medium after seeing the large. When they arrived it... More
Birthday lunch on a cold rainy Friday afternoon just had to be Pho. Having returned to Melbourne from Sydney after 14 years meant that this was possibly going to be a hit or miss event. A quick search online pointed at Box Hill. There was a great choice but Pho 888 kept coming to the top of the list in... More
Been going to this place for many years. I usually stick to the Pho Tai (sliced rare beef in broth with noodles, chilli, beanshoots and vietnamese mint ). Very tasty and fresh. Served within a few minutes of ordering. Restaurant always busy with locals at lunch and in the evening which is always a good sign! Great value for money.
A no fuss lunch and served very fast. The price is about $11 a bowl and it comes with bean sprout and Vietnamese mint. A typical cafe style and this shop has perfected its pho.

The restaurant appeared to have been somewhat updated with a more extensive menu and there were at least 20 customers when we arrived. We ordered the #1... More
