The Paradise is located at Clematis, near Emerald, in the Dandenong Ranges, not far from Melbourne. The views, the bird life, and the passing Puffing Billy railway line are a magnet for locals and visitors alike. It is therefore particularly sad that the current owners do not take the trouble to ensure that a visit to the Paradise is a... More

We enjoyed a lovely evening while on a Tree Break in the Dandenong Ranges. The staff in the bistro provided friendly and attentive service. We ordered off the specials board: under $20 - Our meals were good quality and well presented. We would definitely come back.

We have been going to Paradise Valley for the last 5 years, we hadn't been for a while so decided to go last night. I ordered the open Souvlaki which was on the specials board, it was a disgrace 6 tiny pieces of meat and as for the salad lots of greenery, 2 olives and a couple of of pieces... More

The covered decking area is lovely with views of puffing billy going past. The menu is expensive for lunch with only the soup being under $10.00. There were two table of 10 ahead of us with the ordering and while we ordered at 12.45 the meal came at 1.45. Very disappointing. The meals were good quality but our enjoyment was... More

Dropped in for lunch on a Saturday. Nit many people in for 1pm but food was quite good. Had bangers(sausages) and mash and very good. Partner had tandoori pizza which was lovely. Staff were quite attentive. Prices not too bad and menu had a good selection. Would revisit when in the area again. Worth a visit.

My partner and I stopped in for a late lunch, expecting just another pub bistro. But this place is different. There is an enclosed deck with a natural Australian bush setting. I ordered the porterhouse steak, my partner ordered the pork ribs. The steak was cooked to perfection with a smokey char grill favour - awesome! I'm not a pork... More

Staff are not very accommodating. View of dirty windows full of dead bugs was a let down. Big chunk of plastic in salad - told waitress who did not seem to care. Went to pay and still charged for the salad (not even a discount) so we explained what happened again and they took the salad off the bill. We... More

Wonderful greenery views from the enclosed deck area. Had heard about their Cobb Loaf with Garlic & Herb butter. It did not dissappoint & came with a very generous supply of both butters. My wife had the Calamari which was cooked to perfection, very tasty & came with a well presented Greek salad. I had the Fettucini Carbonara which was... More
