All day kitchen. Great pizza. Lovely Italian salads. A proper tasting Paella. Some really nice wines. This newish space is an outstanding new addition to the Healesville area. We were there at 3pm mid-week and it was quiet. They said it was off the hook...More

First -- I think this restaurant may have changed names in the past year? In any case, when we returned a few days ago we were told that Innocent Bystander wines have become a separate business. I In any case, the food, wine and service...More

Excellent wine, pizza, cheeseboard and bread and butter pudding dessert. Got a seat by the open fire and stayed for few hours. Would definitely go back and no hesitation to recommend. The staff are lovely.

The innocent bystander has a very limited menu of pizza, paella or platters. Being Spanish its definitely not something that you should call paella as placing large amounts of paprika on top of the dish isnt how this product is made. It would be more...More

A great place for a Sunday lunch out of town within reasonable driving distance from Melbourne. We devoured their mushroom pizza, amazingly generous amounts of mushrooms- good for mushy lovers! The truffle fries and credit earning broccoli salad was enough for two people. Paired with...More

The innocent bystander really impressed me with their invovation. Wines by the glass on tap, and you can purchase a sample of 3 x 50ml wines for $10 which I thought was very reasonable. The industrial decor was very tasteful, and the staff were polite...More

I would like to know if anyone in the world considers Miles Davis and progressive jazz and muted trumpets; relaxing? I would also like to know if IB will ever consider me seriously. I am not a fool but an ex music teacher, and I have a reasonably good lounge room recording set up at home. I also would like to know if and when IB will consider acoustic shells hung from the ceiling. I wonder if the sound level is within comfortable range. I do have a sound meter which I used when accompanying a young student of mine to the VCA, which also has sound level meters in the percussion dept. I have always rated IB's food as probably, for a similar type restaurant, as 80% or even 90%. It's a pity that any meetings between staff and I have been vexatious and confrontational. When can I have a mature meeting of minds about IB and Giant Steps?
