My family of 4 (two teens) chose Urban Grub for a birthday dinner. It had been a few years since we had dined there. We sure are glad we went back. Victor was our server and was as good as they come. He made suggestions,...recommendations and accommodations that made dinner fantastic!! I cannot stress enough that we felt like he was one of the best in Nashville. If I owned a restaurant I would be trying to recruit him ASAP. Shrimp and grits is one of my favs and his suggestion of adding andouille sausage put it over the top. He was helpful with wine selections and made a different side choice for my son happen. Overall very positive experience.More

If you are looking for a fine dining experience, look no further when in Nashville. Urban Grub is located in the area referred to as 12 South. I always recommend making reservations when you can. I think I made my reservation nearly 3 weeks in...advance because I read a review that suggested it, and I am glad I did. If you drive, they offer valet parking. This is fine dining, so I suggest a more formal attire. The menu is exquisite with specials rotating on a regular basis I assume. Since it is fine dining, do expect to pay fine dining prices. Prices were what we expected. Side dish items are ordered a la carte and for sharing with the table. Everyone ordered something they enjoyed, there wasn't a single plate left untouched. Some favorites of our table were the lobster risotto, crispy brussels, seared salmon, roasted zucchini and whipped feta and southern style street corn! They are known for the dry-aged beef, so if that is your meat of choice, this is a must. They also offer a dining option where the waiter selects the items based on guest preferences. It sounded fun, but were weren't quite adventurous enough to put our dinner in the hands of someone we just met! However, if you looking for a unique dining experience, I would recommend giving it a try! We didn't exactly save room for dessert, but I don't think you can go wrong with any of the dessert options.More

We were on time and seated promptly in a nice booth. Extremely attentive service by multiple people. Pork Cop was outstanding as has been commented upon often. Shrimp & Grits were fairly bland. Cocktail was excellent. Two wine pours were quite a bit different in...size with the second being much larger. A couple of things were off-putting. Several front end people continually walked around the room surveying each table and inputting info into an IPad, apparently keeping track of how soon the table would turn. Secondly, our server brought us the check and never asked if we wanted dessert. We didn’t, but still….. . Left and the small lobby was jammed with people. Appears that they over book in the extreme. Did valet and the guys were nice and efficient but the egress is pretty rough looking. So in summary, good food but the overall experience was just fair. Far from a high-end outing.More

Very hip vibe and great food. Service was good and the dessert is huge! The lobster Risotto was fantastic as was the ginormous pork chop. Bring your appetite and wear pants that can be loosened because the portions are huge.

We had a large group for a birthday dinner. The staff was amazing with our group! We were there for 3 hours and never once felt rushed. Our waiter, Ezra, was like part of our group. He truly made the evening fun and special. I...cannot say enough how delicious the food was! From the crab beignets to the dessert! Each of us had something different, but most RAVED about the pork chops. I had a steak and it was melt in your mouth good. I HIGHLY recommend Urban Grub for a wonderful dinner!More

Don’t waste your time making a reservation. Waited over an hour. Hotesses very rude. Talking bad about the servers.

Booked a reservation based on Trip Advisor reviews. Our family of four LOVED this place - great food, excellent service and great atmosphere! I'm a fireplace lover, and when our hostess brought us out to our table right in front of a huge outdoor fireplace,...I knew we were off to a good start! Then our server had some family in Wisconsin (we are from) so we had a lot to talk with him about that. We started out with a bottle of Turley - one of our favorite wines. The meal was "voted" by our family of four (mom, dad & 2 teenage daughters) as the favorite place on our 3 night trip to Nashville. The Crab Beignets are a must. We enjoyed the lobster pasta and the seared tuno on this Good Friday night!More

Had the best meal we have had in Nashville. Yes on a scale of 10 I would give it a 9 only because it is too expensive. It is the type of place to visit once a year for a special occasion. If it was...a little cheaper then we would dine here every week. The servers really know the menu and they were pros. We had a couple of apps, my wfe and I shared crab Beignets which were out of this world good even though we got the wrong dipping sauce we think it tasted like ranch dressing and was suppose to be white BBQ sauce. We also had a couple dozen Raspberry Point oysters, they were the smallest Raspberry Points I have ever had? They were a disappointment. For entrees we had two great ones, a double thick porkchop and a Wagu skirt steak both were excellent, We had a wedge salad that was also disappointing. it had too many ingredients, it would have been better to just keep it simple wedge. So overall I would give my servers a 10, crab Beignet a 10, entrees a 10, the atmosphere 10 my G&T was perfect. My oysters were a 5, wedge salad 3, the bill was as expected and was over $300 including a generous tip for the two of us that include 2 glasses of wine and 2 G&T.More

Wanted to eat at a place down the street but they had a 2 hour wait. Found this gem on Trip Advisor and headed right over. Got seated right away beside a nice fireplace. The food here was amazing. We consider ourselves foodies and this...place is now added to our must eat at when in Nashville. The avocado toast was seriously the best I’ve ever had!More

I didn’t think it has to be that far in advance. We called a couple weeks out because there was 13 of us.

Call them directly. I am not aware of their reservation policy. I made mine about three weeks in advance.
