i have visited this place a few times and its hit and miss depending on which staff members are working. sometimes your food is out in no time and then there is times when it takes an hour EVEN IF YOU CALL IT IN!!! breakfast is usually decent.

The bowling alley is still in use and the pins are still set up by hand! The meringue pies looked amazing but we were too full to partake. A very neat place to see!

Food is old-fashioned "greasy spoon" not meaning in a bad way. Excellent breakfast, great biscuits and sausage gravy, Blueberry pancakes are to die for. Unique experience stepping back in time to see the 9-pin bowling alley

I have been going here for 53 years. In the back is an old world bowling alley, something that is extremely rare to see. In the last several years it has been closed off to the public. Huge disappointment. Food and service have plummeted. I am truly sad. It was a treat to visit. Now there are other restaurants and... More

Are you hungry??? Then you better bring your appetite, as this monster of a chicken fried steak meal is sure to satisfy! By the way...Don't forget to try their homemade cherry pie!

If you are looking for a generous well-prepared breakfast , this is the place to go. The price is right and the food is delicious. It's where the locals gather. Service was efficient and the breakfast was hot . And the coffee was great. What else could you ask for early in the morning

This is long; however, it is worth the read. My husband and I stayed in Blanco Friday night (11/25). I asked the innkeeper, where was a good place to eat breakfast on Saturday? She gave me a list of 3 places to go, and this cafe was one of them, so we chose this place. The first thing that hit... More

What a pleasant surprise! We went here for dinner and it was great. I had the small chicken strips and couldn't believe when they brought 3 large plump strips that were delicious. The order came with a small salad and 2 sides. My husband ordered the small hamburger steak. He was also very pleased. The service was friendly and fast.... More

The tea was fresh. The beer was cold. The fries were from scratch, and good. That's it. Cheeseburgers were frozen patties... yuck. Bread was doughy. Could have thrown the bread on the grill, and toasted it, for a slight improvement. DO NOT waste the dollar for the onion ring "upgrade." Breading was good, but onions inedible. Checked this place off... More
