it's best to call ahead and order for pickup, or you will be waiting for up to 15 minutes or more, depending upon how many people are ahead of you who walked up too. Very good food, NEVER have been disappointed!

If you just want to get a barbeque sandwich go to Shugabees. Hard to find, but worth it. The barbeque is rolled into a gigantic tortilla and it tastes better than it smells. They also have sides, sodas and other dishes. Buyer beware, get there when you can...when they are sold out of barbeque that's it for the day. You... More

Always a good visit. Great concept serving BBQ with giant homemade tortillas. The tortillas are great on their own. Variety of BBQ sauces to choose from. Don't need them. I only use them on leftovers sandwiches. No need to wait 3 hours for service either. Hard to find good food in Buda. Every other restaurant seems to be a cheaper... More

This place is yummy. It's simple, tasty bbq with a bit of a mustardy flavor. The owner is a nice guy and he's usually working the trailer himself. The price us fair and the service is fast and friendly.

They are now located further down on 1626. They are in the Painted Horse parking lot. Give them a try.

We were first exposed to them in their old location. On a whim we decided to try the place. As the title says, damn good BBQ. In the land of BBQ they can and will hold their own.

This place has a great reputation but I was not too impressed with my last purchase. Pulled pork in a tortilla. I did not like the sauce used. My wife had an Apple pecan chicken salad that was very good. Relocated FM 1626 in Buda by the Painted Horse Pavilion. Location is real close to where I live so we... More

Feeling peckish on the way to San Marcos, we took and easy-off the highway to a nondescript shack with a barbecue sign. The building is a prefab hut, the tables and chairs look they were collected from soup kitchen cast-offs. The prices are on the cheap side. The barbecue - amaaazing! Soft roasts and brisket done to perfection. We ate... More

I went to drop in on Shugabee's in Buda and found that they had relocated. That's terrible for the communities of Buda and Kyle and but a winner to the south Austin neighborhood they have moved to. I will still make the 25 minute drive on occasion to enjoy their world class brisket. Just sad it's no longer a 5... More

Really good BBQ Got the brisket wrapped in a tortilla with his sauce. Sure hate that he move to south Austin from Buda.
