Best BBQ on the western edge of the hill country. Friendly staff, plentiful sides and an atmosphere not to be missed.

The BEST barbecue you can put between you lips and you don't have to stand in line like those crazy people in Austin.

First of all, the drive alone is worth it. We are from Houston and were camping in Garner SP and were told about this place. We called ahead and they said they had food, come on in. The drive was straight out of Texas Highways - amazing. When we got there a lot of the food had just been bought... More

The BBQ was good as were the sides. Nice all purpose sauce. What I really liked was the big ice chest with a dipper and the free refills. The décor was a bit too biker oriented but to each his own. I suppose they have their clientele.

Just North of 377 on 55. Nothing fancy just good BBQ. Ribs and Brisket were tender and tasty. Sides were basic. He also had Boudin Sausage and it was tasty too. No waiters here. You get in line order your food and find a place to sit. Given your choices in Camp Wood, it's a good place. If your riding... More

This place has moved recently to a new location. When they started they had seeks on Monday and good pork but those items have gone by the way side since the last time I visited. The sides bother me in that they all seem to come out of a Sysco bucket and aren't prepared on site.

I've been to all the big name places in the large cities but none of them have better BBQ than this. It's off the beaten track but worth a trip. His brisket and turkey are flavorful and smoked perfectly to my taste. The portions are generous and his prices are very reasonable. I'll write another review only if I find... More

The BBQ isn't quite as good as the owner would like to think it is, but it still was good enough. Understand, this is an biker club hot spot, so don't act surprised.

Nice folks, a relaxed environment... The meats are tasty... The turkey is moist, and the ribs are good. The brisket is more wet than we're accustomed to, but it was good.

Okay, I don't write a load of reviews but I will make an exception here. My wife and I stopped while on a bike ride on the 100 mile loop. We are trying to lose weight so wanted to eat reasonably healthy. We stopped by and picked up 2 turkey sandwiches, I was not over excited at the prospect of... More
