Takes a while, they are in NO HURRY and only take cash. It is good though!! Real HOT sauce. There is about 3000 things to look at inside. The outside looks crumbled down , but the foo is FRESH and pretty dam good. THIS IS NOT TEX MEX- Puke! Not Gringos, or some other shopping mall stuff in which you... More

We ate here after seeing it on Texas Country Reporter. The staff are very friendly and the food is good. My husband and I did feel the food was overpriced. We have only eaten here the one time because we felt it was too pricey for what you got. The decorations are great!

With a name like that, you have to wonder if the bait and the taco fillings... Well... Uh... But actually, the food is pretty good. Interesting "hole in the wall" place. Hey! Why not?

Franks is one of the best places to eat in Canyon Lake. We moved to this city about five months ago and just happened to walk into this place one night. The food is freshly prepared and everything on the menu is delicious. Eddie and his wife Frenchy are awesome people that do not mind showing their love for the... More

Yes, the food is good. But honestly, as vegetarians, we can only comment on the homemade tortillas which were delicious. We met the owner, Eddie and his friend Texas Bob. Eddie jokes that he wrote the sign to read Frank's Bait and Tackle but he ran out of room so he shortened it to Taco. He does sell bait (in... More

If they're closed, then I was just served a ghostly enchilada straight from Heaven's kitchen. Everything was homemade right down to the chips and salsa. Go in the back for a mind blowing collection of cra...stuff. Frank (Eddie) can tell you where every item came from.

sadly this place is up for sale and no longer serving. It looks so neat on the outside and I wish we could have experienced it.

Eddie made us feel like we were family. Sitting outside looking at everything especially the bamboo, all while kicking back on lake time. The food was hot and worth the wait. A little pricy, but for a mom and pop stop it was well worth it! Just as good as a dinner and show! We will be back soon!

Almost missed it!! We pulled into Plooky's which turned out to be a Cajun boiling pot type place. Hubby doesn't like any kind of seafood or Cajun seasoning as we were getting ready to pull out of their parking lot I saw the sign Frank's BBQ & Mexican food sign. It's a bait shop out back and a antique museum... More
