Definitely plant to stop here if you are driving from Houston to Texas. The thought of exotic smoked jerky, bbq brisket and such makes the anticipation and ride perfect. Once there, nice clean facilities--so go. Just recognize the bbq is just average and the jerky...

You know you are in Texas when there is a six shooter shaped BBQ pit at the entrance. Lots of local products and wonderful BBQ. Much better than stopping at Buccees in my opinion.

I always have the jalapeno and cheese sausage. So good. It's quick and it's tasty. Go. You will love it. And the smell is heavenly.

Pork chops are unbelievably thick! A little pricy but good. It's worth the stop and it has nice clean bathrooms.

This place has expanded and expanded over the years. Why? The BBQ and the atmosphere. The smokebox has half-chickens, ribs, THICK pork chops, brisket, and the most succulent bacon-wrapped quail. Grab some cheese to go with it, or potato salad, bread is already on the table. Want to try venison or bison jerky? Taste a sample. Need a last minute... More

I stopped in yesterday for my second time in a year and it will be the last. The meat ( brisket & sausage ) was horrible. It has to be the worst BBQ in the state

When you walk in, they welcome you, when you leave, they wish you safe travels and a happy thanksgiving! Everyone was great except for Jody at the deli counter. Our woodys subs and barbq sandwiches were great, but Apparently we didn't order the way she wanted us to though so we got the deep breath and eye roll.

I stumbled across this but will use it for a pit stop in the future. It is basically a Fuel Stop/Gift Shop/BBQ Restaurant but there is a lot going on here. • BBQ smokehouse on site, which was very busy • Home made beef jerky galore, self proclaimed "the jerky capital of the world" • Mason jars of spiced peaches,... My husband and I stopped here to get a light lunch. This place has a huge selection. Well a large crowd came in so we decide to hurry up and get out of there. So we got some elk sticks from the deli counter and go over to the registrar to beat the rush. Talk about sticker shock when we... More

Started out with lunch, a huge chopped beef sandwich. Then went shopping down the isles and isles of jams, preserves, pickled everything and then to the meat counter. Ah summer sausage heaven. And the jerky is wonderful. Oh and did I mention how yummy the store smells. Can't wait to pass by again.

Thank katie g
