Had lunch here with my Aggie who is a regular. We shared brisket, sausage, potato salad and coleslaw. The brisket was tasty and tender. Service is informal. Worth a visit.

After living outside of Texas for 20 years, there are certain specific things you miss, most notably BBQ. Rudy's has always been a favorite and no matter which one we go to, we get great food. Yesterday we had, ribs, brisket, chicken and sausage and we left full and happy. Good food and good down home Texas feel.

We were in College Station to visit TAMU and I decided I wanted some brisket. This joint had the goods as well as a decent offering of other items. I liked the casual, open nature of the place. I also felt it was a great value for the price. I will be back.

The baby back ribs are to die for - amazing flavor, tender and fall off the bone. Brisket is equally good, not to mention green chili stew. Grab your self a cold one in line and enjoy. In summary - OMG. Bring your big pants for this family style local Aggie favorite not too far from A&M.

I needed to get some to-go bbq to take the Brenham. Rudy's is go to in North Texas so I decided to try. Food was great, but the to-go service inside the restaurant was excellent. Gave me extra to=go cups and gondolas. Napkins, plates, etc. Well run, well-trained and well-managed Rudy's ... You could tell the culture was managed in... More

I eat at Rudy's maybe 2-3 times a week! Even on my birthday. But I am telling you today was the craziest visit. I'm telling you. I don't know if I want to give them my business. If they treat you with kindness, then great but if they are rude. Go on here and make a review. It helps travelers.... More

Great BBQ. I'm a low carber...so I like being able to by different kids of smoked meat by the pound. The brisket is always good...nice and moist with perfect smoke flavor.

So the coleslaw is dry, maybe on purpose. I had the spicy chop which was not really spicy and just OK. What was pretty good was the jalapeño sausage; very rich with flavor. It's not a bad BBQ but I've had better and was slightly disappointed.
