Excellent food! We came to eat here after a long day exploring the Texas Hill Country. They allowed us to bring in our wine we bought in Fredericksburg for a $20 corking fee. The filet was cooked perfectly and the cobia was also perfect! Just great! Highly recommended

Beautifully presented with fresh haricot verts over a bed of Jasmine rice. The bistro is small, quaint would be an understatement and the... More

Try catch of the day - I ate red fish caught in the Gulf of Mexico which is just 3 hours away. The side dish were best home potatoes I ever tasted - with a bit of garlic and black pepper, and out of this world beans. I chose tomato soup to accompany which was delicious too.

This is the second year in a row we have eaten dinner here for New Years Eve. The food is excellent and the service is great. We had a ribeye and lamb chops. Both were excellent. The grilled pound cake is amazing for dessert. The chef came out and greeted everyone. It is wonderful to enjoy such high quality food... More

This was our fourth time to visit this restaurant since we discovered it about a year ago. We live several hours from Comfort but anytime we're within an hour or two of this restaurant we make the drive because it's absolutely worth it. The owner is the chef and I have no idea how he can make meat so tender... More

A tiny little treasure in the heart of Comfort. Fine dining in a casual atmosphere. Try the lamb chops. One of the best meals I've had in a long time.

I love Comfort, mainly as a place to start long Texas Hill Country bike rides from. I'd seen 814 on days when I parked and rode. Sweetie and I stopped for dinner on a Saturday night. Limited but excellent menu; good wine list. Had a marvelous filet and crab cake appetizer. Good service. Worth the drive from San Antonio to... More
