High's Cafe has a great atmosphere, both indoor and outdoor. The healthy food is great and there is light shopping to be had.

They have a more sophisticated menu then you would image for tiny Comfort Texas, but soooo good. Breakfast and lunch only, and be sure to look for the daily special.

Comfort is a delightful town to spend some time in....walking around and going in the variety of shops. When it came time for lunch we chose High's Cafe....and I'm glad we did. My husband had the Salad of the day (a macaroni, ham, etc. salad) and I had the Soup of the Day (minestrone). Both were delicious! Clean place! Gets busy!

Order your food at the counter and pick up inside when your name is called. Breakfast was delicious and the prices were reasonable. You are able to sit outside or inside. I must say its in the heart of Comfort and you can pretty much bounce from one antique shop to another after your breakfast or lunch. The Elephant store... More

The store is pristine and the staff is friendly. The sandwiches are excellent and the dessert are too! When the weather allows we prefer sitting outside and enjoying the architecture of the old structures across the street and. It is not a Parisian cafe but it is nice.

Visited Comfort on a day that most of the town was closed. We defaulted to High's Cafe and Store. Patio atmosphere was sweet, inside nothing special. Food was reasonably priced and decent enough. Would look for a different place to eat should we venture to Comfort again

This is really a great restaurant, very eclectic. Not what I would expect to find in a small Texas town. I got the gardent salad and asked them to add some salmon. Oh my God. You have got to try that. We ate outside in the yard and it is very shady. You can have dogs with you out there

Had lunch here today. One of our usual stops during our April in the hill country. I had meatloaf sandwich and my wife had the Greek salad with a scoop of tuna. I had the local dark ale. All excellent as usual. Finished with a super chocolate brownie. Very good.

Thank jslingo
