Our Segway Tour guide took us past this place -then highly recommended it. Our tour ended around 8pm and we were ready for a beer and pizza. I opted for the Hawaiian (Canadian Bacon and Pineapple) - excellent. Tried a local Dallas beer - OK....More

Dropped in after a visit to SMU for an early evening bite. Campisi's has always been a sure thing but we decided after burned calamari and just OK ravoli and pizza that it's banking on it's heritage and history. Sadly, the food is just not...More

We've been fans of The Egyptian for more than 60 years. Pizza, Italian specialties and the atmosphere are reminders of growing up around Dallas. There are many locations for Campisis but for the real thing go to the first. We took some new friends there...More

When my fellow was new in town, he went through a several month period in which he was fascinated by the JFK assassination. He went down to the grassy knoll, retraced Oswald's footsteps...so I had to bring him to Jack Ruby's old haunt, The Egyptian...More

I get so fed up with out-of-staters who have no ability to be civil on Trip Advisor so they have something not set right when visiting an iconic restaurant and decide to freak out and give it one star. Thanks, Bama Boy for messing up...More

We were there were several people on business. I knew there was a problem with the bread tasted stale. Things went downhill from there. I ordered the meat ravioli with meat sauce. The ravioli was cold; not even hot. The meat sauce was just warm....More

Our hotel recommended this place. We were in the smaller club space but had great service. The food was terrific and our server seemed to adopt us. She even popped a dessert that we were not going to order on the table. Great food -...More

Four family members decided to meet for lunch. Great service. Pizza, Spaghetti, and Alfredo was excellent. The luncheon salads were fresh and tasty. Simply a good place to have Italian.

I had my first Joe Campisi's "all the way" pizza in 1970, sitting across from the bar in the original dining room after standing in line outside for 40-minutes. Been back hundreds of times since. Always was and still is the best. Added a larger...More

Founded on the idea of handshakes and hellos, Campisis Restaurants has been serving iconic, award-winning pizzas and family Italian dishes since 1946. Owned and operated by the Campisi family, the original landmark, the "Egyptian Lounge" is legendary for being "the place to go" by celebrities and locals in the know who want the real deal when it comes to good Italian. Everyone is always invited to the table seven days a week at any of our locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and our new expansion in Lubbock, Texas. Stay in touch with the family on social and on the web.
