Prix Fixe meal is a good deal for Valentine's Day and is served in record time. The downside is they have to turnover the restaurant quickly in order to seat all the reservations they've made.

A charming French bistro - they don't have a gluten-free menu, but the server is VERY knowledgeable about the selections. I thoroughly enjoyed my evening.

We were in Plano for one night and chose Lavendou for a nice anniversary dinner. We had a before-dinner cocktail. My Martini was good, but her Cosmo wasn't great (a bit sour). Appetizers were the terrine du chef and the mushrooms with pastry. Both were...More

My wife and I did not want to get fancy dressed for high-end pretentious French meal so opted for Lavendou for our 20th wedding anniversary. The homemade bread was wonderful with fine Herbs de Provence. The butter was not from the grocery store. The Coquille...More

Service was excellent. The bread with olive dip so good. The wait staff was good and helpful. I had the duck. It was ok. The sauce needed some spice and the green beans need something too. All in all it was ok. My wife and...More

This is a neighborhood favorite and our pre-theater outing was scrumptious! We ordered specials for apps and entrees that included soft shell crab with capers and spinach and the duck prepared 3 ways, and the sole stuffed with crab meat and the entree serving of...More

I tried a Duck dish it tasted very good. and looked wonderful. The birthday lady had the Chocolate Soufflé for dessert & it was fabulous! The wait staff even brought champagne for the lady in celebration of her birthday.

Had lunch with friends and all of us ordered the Quiche of the day--mushroom and cheese. It was very good, but all agreed that it was not like the Quiche we had had before. It was not the typical custardy filling. It came with steamed...More

This looks like a coastal front by some island such as Blue Grotto off the coast of the Isle of Capri in Italy.

Description
Lavendou, a retreat into the French countryside - a place where life is savored as much as the food. Lavendou is thoroughly French, from the inviting decor to the gracious service and authentic cuisine. But don't expect it to be pretentious. Owner Pascal Cayet is dedicated to providing service that is friendly and efficient. And you will find Chef Francois Soyez's menu to be deliciously approachable. Serving the lighter fare of Southern France, Lavendou offers many items to tempt your taste buds.
