Tamales and a cranberry margarita! How's that for an after thanksgiving meal--just about perfect. they serve the BEST chips I have ever had at a Mexican restaurant anywhere----warm--light and crispy with your very own salsa cup per person. We had a lovely lunch with quick friendly service and a very reasonable price tag for a downtown restaurant institution. I would... More

Worst experience ever sat for 10 mins to get cold chips then sat for 10 to get a drink order and almost 30 for our food. Horrible it says 2 hour's free parking. Well we had to feed the meter and on that bring change because they will not have any to help you out

This institution has been around since 1918. I'm from Dallas and used to eat there as a kid. Loved it on return. Retro tacky cool style. Great service. Delicious three cheese chili relleno I modified with brisket and my family members loved their combo and enchilada plate. Good solid rib sticking. Great thin chips. Service excellent.

For some reason some people (including my octogenarian parents) like this time-worn Tex-Mex chain. To me it is simply gross, from the margaritas to the entrées. I simply do not get it.

While looking for a casual and easy late night dining experience while on vacation I knew I wanted something to experience the culture of the city and so Mexican felt like a good comforting option. Food- I don't eat meat so the options for fish/ veggie options were limited but I settled on spinach and cheese enchiladas with tomatillo sauce.... More

I went here because it was right near the museum I was visiting. It's a pretty large restaurant and I had to wait a while for service. The frozen mango margarita was actually one of the best I've had in a white. Normally they are pretty weak but this one was strong. I recommend the fire roasted queso as it... More

Large restaurant, reasonable prices, friendly service. I liked the tortilla chips and the salsa (which had a bit of bite). The fajita nachos were excellent and the chicken enchiladas were also quite yummy. Would go there again.

This is standard Tex Mex. Not great but not bad either. The waiter was very attentive and got us refills quickly. The parking lot is free for the 1st 2 hours if you are dining at the restaurant.

This place is awful!!!! Being from Phoenix , we eat a lot of good Mexican food. I assumed Texas had the same standards. The margaritas are good, as are the chips and salsa. Should have just stopped there. The chili cheese dip was made of "plastic" cheap cheese, which continued to appear in all subsequent dishes. The taco was the... More
