Was part of a wedding dress rehearsal of 27 people. Great grounds and atmosphere. Food was great, especially the meat! Took an extra 1/2 hour to get our table but we weren't in a hurry. Food served very quickly once we were seated. Great Texan experience!

My first Texas BBQ experience. A neat setting. I'm not an expert - solid BBQ but not the best I've had. Definitely worth a stop if your in hill country. My potion wasn't huge - family style would be the way to go if your hungry.

I timed our departure from San Antonio hotel to get here at 10:55am on a Monday morning and were the first to arrive before they open the doors at 11am. We did get a quick tour of the property, including the BBQ pit which all the meat were smoked and cooked. We got down to business with only Brisket (burn... More

Had a family gathering the day after Thanksgiving and ate ourselves silly. The food was amazing. The brisket melts in your mouth and has great flavor. Very difficult to find enough positive adjectives to describe. Great ambiance and service. This is a must visit place if you are within a three to four hour drive. I'd make a day trip... More

Four of us, parents and kids, went for BBQ, and our hopes were greatly exceeded. Great food, service, ambiance, setting. Would return in a heartbeat.

You drive to Driftwood for this getting hungrier by the mile. They do not disappoint. You get to see masters in the art of BBQ at work. Generous portions. Friendly staff. Nice sized menu and selection. You want Texas BBQ? Salt Lick is the place.

The Salt Lick BBQ is a true Texas experience. The place is huge, if you have never been there before. The meat is not BBQ it is HEAVEN!!! Al the sides were excellent, and the service impeccable! The staff is friendly, like family. I'd drive from Ft. Worth just to go there again!!!

This place is huge and rustic. It is a fabulous place to take a crowd of family and friends. The food is great and even the small plates are plentiful. Bring your own beer and cash because this location does not accept credit cards.

My hosts took me out to enjoy authentic Texas BBQ and I was not disappointed. A fun atmosphere, wide selection including some combo plates, great tasting BBQ and at a reasonable price - what more could you ask! Add a selection of local beers along with pecan pie for dessert and you get a wonderful meal. Fun drive out also... More
