We travel frequently between McAllen and Houston and stop here. Large selection of prepackaged foods and food made while you wait. Meats and cheeses are very good. Gas is reasonably priced.

It's an interesting experience to stop in the Prasek's Smokehouse to see a good camo selection and a variety of taxidermy, but the food left us wondering if we should have picked Mikeska's instead. The Czech bakery had some great looking kolaches and you can pick out some favorites in the meat market to cook on your own, but the... More

In addition to gas station and store it is a great smoke house/restaurant. Stopped on the way down for dinner and got some stuff for later and decided to stop again on the way back to pickup meat to cook as well as some other items. Everything I tried was very good. Will be back next time

Far enough out of Houston for lunch. This huge place has clean bathrooms, good barbecue, a bakery, specialty foods, a meat counter with a dazzling number of sausage and jerky choices. This is what a Bucees would look like if it was real. Oh, poppy seed kolaches, need I say more?

There is a good selection of sandwiches available in a cafeteria format. I got a 2 meat BBQ plate with ribs and brisket. The meat was good ( not great) and the portions were generous. Fountain drinks are offered and there is no alcohol. They have a meat counter and cheese and sausage to take home.

We live in the community and because of my expanding waistline, I have to limit the number of times a week that I stop by Prasek's. Everything is good... my favorites: Bacon, Egg, Cheese rolls, Jalapeno, Ham, Cheese pigs, Rueben sandwiches, Cuban sandwiches, Peppered Turkey Jerky... the list could go on for a while.

"The best brisket sandwich" my husband has ever had. Clean restrooms. Friendly staff. Lots of yummy looking things to entice you as you wait for your order.
