Visited 2017-12-09 at 12:45. Had burger with fries, waffle with ham, and two iced teas = $27.04 plus tip. Location is fun, and the interior is very diner relic. However the food isn't worth the drive. Texas Waffle was simple mix with no real taste....More

We had a wonderful breakfast here with our grandsons. The kids split a large fluffy pancake that was cooked to perfection. I had two extremely yummy breakfast tacos and my husband had eggs, grits, biscuits and gravy. The boys loved watching airplanes out the window.

This little diner takes you back to the '50. The food is classic diner food - good food, good service. The diner is small, but we've been there for breakfast & lunch - will definitely be back.

The Airport Diner is a classic 1940s diner, located next door to the Hangar Hotel and immediately adjacent to the Gillespie County Airport aircraft parking ramp. From the booths, you can watch aircraft come and go while enjoying great sandwiches, breakfast, and daily Blue Plate Specials. The Diner is not just a place to grab some food, but rather a unique atmosphere to relax and enjoy a good meal while reliving the past. And you never know what you might see land just outside the window.
