Fresh tuna sandwich with chips was perfect to leave room for a fried pie. The chicken pie my husband had was really delicious.

The atmosphere was nice and cozy. The staff were super nice and the food was superb. Can't forget about the pies! They are off the chain as well! I will probably be stopping by for more pies on my way home! 5 Stars!

In a recent issue, THM did a story on fried pies and named several restaurants they considered to the the best in North Texas. The FPC&R is on that list. Drove up to Gainesville today to check it out. Happily I got there during the lunch hour and found that as their lunch special they had a really good hamburger... More

We had breakfast here the morning of our visit. Breakfast is very good, but we had to save room for the fired pie. Apricot is mine and my hubbys favorite, but they had so may kinds! We got a dozen to take home and share.

I'm going to skip things like bathroom cleanliness. (Important, but let's not spoil the fun) The original restaurant was owned by my grandmothers cousin Betty. Welch was her maiden name. Let's be clear, that was a long time ago and this is my first visit. I had a BLT, a sausage & egg pie and both the coconut cream and... More

Stopped for breakfast, western omelet was awesome, lots of ingredients and very filling. Breakfast burrito was so good! Hash browns were crispy, not soggy as you sometimes find at other places. Bought 6 pies to take home, have only tried the blueberry so far, but it was very good, not overly sweet, and the crust was good, not overpowering in... More

We got 2 fried pies to go. A cherry one and an apricot. Both were great and stuffed with fruit. I suggest you give them a try.

Been going to Fried Pie on every visit to Gainesville for many years. Food is good and fresh. The pies are heavenly! Can never decide my favorite so we buy a big box and freeze them. My current favorite is Pineapple Cream. Just like my mothers. It is divine!!

The Fried pie is just what the name says. They serve fresh home made fried pies daily, plus they serve breakfast and lunch. The only reason didn't give the "PIE" 5 stars is this family restaurant does not serve dinner.

The place reminds me of the way old home-style cooking restaurants use to be. Mostly windows to look out at the square with old fashion tables and antique coffee pots. The price was reasonable but I would just say the biscuit and the fried pies did not taste homemade but okay. It took at least 15 minutes and we were... More
