This place had the most awesome food and service. I am not a bread eater but it was so good. I wanted one of their oil dispensers but the gift shop was closed. I told them I would take a used one. They cleaned one up.... one happy customer

Stopped here for crab cakes. Little pricey but excellent. From outside diner looks like a very casual place but inside very nice restaurant!! Had crawfish fettuccine and grilled oysters. VERY GOOD!! Highly suggest

This is THE seafood place in Galveston. Although I am not a big seafood fan, my wife loves it! I had a great filet steak and she had the the snapper. She said it was wonderful. We don't get to travel often to Galveston but when we do we always make time for Gaido's!

The Bisque was wonderful and crab cake stuffed shrimp were great Our server Sally was Terrific! It great but can't afford to come often. Because of the cost. You can plan on spending about $45-50 a person. It does give you the feel of Old Galveston.

We visited on a Wednesday afternoon, ordered scallops and grilled shrimp with parmesan tomatoes. The herb bread with olive oil dipping sauce, as well as all the food was delicious. Our waiter was a long-time employee who was very pleasant. The meal was pricey for lunch, but we will return the next time we're in Galveston. Maybe we will have... More

Everyone I know praised this place! "You'll love it, it's been there for years!". I was so excited but less than impressed. I called ahead to get a basic dress code. When we arrived they advised that it would be two hours before we could have a table but we could sit at the bar. We took our seats but... More

Absolutely impeccable seafood. The redfish was fresh, tender, well seasoned. The salad was crisp and their chunky blue cheese dressing is fabulous. I had their famous pecan pie. It was good but my mom's is better! Waiter was nervous, overtalkative and forgot to give me silverwear. I had to go find someone to bring it to me. Still the best... More

Very nice seafood restaurant. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good varied fresh seafood menu, if a bit on the pricey side.

The toast of the Texas coast. How can frozen fish be called fresh? The answer for anyone with snap is simple: it can't. That's why Gaido's is the classic choice for fresh Gulf seafood. Patrons know Gaido's is real, when others are clearly not. From red snapper and blue crab to white tablecloths crumbed with panache, there's no denying Gaido's is one-of-a-kind in a world of imitation. Now, after four generations of filleting, frying, grilling and baking, Gaido's has grown into the picture perfect place of traditions- birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, reunions. As the largest fresh fish house on the coast, Gaido's can serve up to 2,500 happy diners a day. -- for over 100 years - is truly the coastal classic.
