We stopped for lunch on our way to the ferry and enjoyed some excellent food and service. The brisket and ribs were tender with very good favor from the rub and smoke. We also liked the homemade Downtown sausage. Leon and the servers took great care of us. We look forward to returning soon.

I have always come here for the meet. The sides and the sauce are not wonderful but when the meat is good who needs sauce? The last couple of times I've come here the meat was dry and overcooked and seem to be microwave heated. Not delicious !

We had the 2 meat plate. We picked chicken and ribs with potatoe salad and coleslaw. Great price for the amount of food you get. This place is sticking to the old school style when it comes to pleasing customers. Everything tasted great. Service was okay. We had to wait a good few minutes to get our order taken because... Of all the many great barbecue restaurants in Texas, Leon's is some of the finest. The food is great, and also the side dishes. The service was also exceptional.

I had a combination meal of sausage, rib tips and brisket. The sausage was phenomenal. Would go back here in a heart beat.

My wife and I stopped in to try some Q while staying on Galveston island. Brisket, Ribs and Chopped beef were meats we had. Sides were baked beans and potato salad, fast service, good food, beans were excellent and brisket was cooked well.

Five of us visited Leon's in the way into Galveston about two weeks ago. It had a 4 1/2 star rating and we found out that rating is well deserved. Leon's wasn't much to look at outside or in, but it had a wonderful homey feel to it. Leon and his family were extremely warm and welcoming and it almost... More

I left $21.00 on the tray for a $15.00 tab. The server took the cash, cleared the tab, and disappeared out the back door. Losing the cash is bothersome. The arrogance, rudeness, and insult are a very big deal. You'll never see me in there again. The recipient of a good gift should be grateful, and say "thank you."

We just arrived and checked into the hotel. Looking for something close by. Leon's BBQ pooped up. So we decided to give it a try. I did the Lean Brisket with Ribs, mac and cheese and beans. Pickles and onions and bread came with it. Ribs melt in your mouth, brisket had to cut with a knife, but it was... More
