Went to the Sunflower with friends for brunch this week. I always have a problem when I go there. Their breakfast/brunch menu contains about 30 items that look great. BUT, I always spend about 15 minutes reading the menu and then end up ordering Eggs...More

We had breakfast, coffee, and cake. Eggs is eggs, I say, but WOW - I definitely recommend the German Chocolate Cake!! Share it with a friend because the portion is generous.

Stopped by for lunch and some treats. I was disappointed to discover they don't offer the same baked goods each day. Missed out on the bread pudding which came highly recommended. Two large dining areas indoors made for plenty of space during the lunch rush.

This restaurant has the best french toast I have ever eaten! It is always served hot (which is a rarity for french toast in a restaurant!) and you are given large portions (I actually take 2 of the 3 pieces home, or share while there)...More

Read all the good reviews, but my husband and I were not impressed. Average and expensive food. The chicken fried steak wasn't very good at all, however the eggs and potatoes that came with it were tasty. When we return to the island we will...More

We had the crab cake Benedict and blueberry pancakes! They were hard to beat. There was a little bit of a wait but nothing terrible.

Probably before 9:00AM. I was there on a Monday in October so it wasn't that crowded.

I think that Sunflower will customize a cake, if by that you mean decorating one for a special occasion. Pattycakes, a couple of blocks away and also on 14th Street, does customized cakes. Both bakeries are good.
